To address a couple of your problems with the boss, they addressed in a livestream yesterday: - The listed range defense is only when they are in melee distance (to discourage camping range), but when they are not in melee range their actual range defense plummets, so it's actually not a problem - They also mentioned yesterday you will be able to trade in extra necklaces to the Odd Old man for big bones

I am so happy that i can actually play as my ironman and be able to enjoy the content with a main, i play ironman because drops actually mean something i cant just buy it like a main. They absolutely nailed this boss. ❤❤

Dont be lazy, cast the spells on the adds. Youre attack after has no delay so you are only missing a tick. I also think that the next melee always hits if you do this

Ive been killing hill giants on the f2p for the big bone drops (originally it was for the f2pers that have to pay a metric ton of gp to get 99 prayer but now its even more valuable)

I think DT2 bosses (except duke cos of prep), Sol Heredit and these were great boss designs. Araxxor was pretty good as well. The only real L was Huey

I'm almost 300KC on these bastards and all I've got is 8 necklaces lmfao. I've enjoyed the update though -- If you got mid tier gear (like eclipse and bloodmoon sets) it goes pretty hard here.

i really really wish the old school team will look into queuing systems. some of us autistic people, like me, have a really hard time finding duos. i can't talk for others but i don't want to be apart of a clan, i don't want to be in a friends chat, i shouldn't have to sit there spamming "looking for duo", even if i had a group to ask it's so common for people to fade you after saying yes, or they say yes but next Monday. i don't want to duo next Monday I'm asking now

Honestly i just solo it in blue moon chest, eclipse legs, Faceguard, and fire cape. Dual machs for melee, atlatl for ranged, and just manually cast the adds. Only a weapon switch. Sure it's slower than a duo, but its super chill.

I like to update other than the drops for tombs of a Mascis or theater of blood. You can have a chance of getting billions of dollars worth of an item shop but here you get a rune square shield.

Really surprised the staff they drop is bad at them. Considering how weak the regular giants are to elemental I'm shocked they didn't lean into mage weakness and make this a mage boss since so few bosses are weak to elemental. At the very least mage range defense even higher and lower mage defense to make it a mage/melee boss instead of range/melee boss.

The staff makes the adds invalid. When you cast on 1 set of adds, your next spell has no delay. So you can clear both waves like you do with Scurrius rats. Since the staff auto swaps to the right element you just click the waves back to back.

The bosses aren’t bad overall good but the swapping is a bit over the top. I get adding swaps to mid game content but the frequency is a little gay. Me and my duo nuke one to skip the first phase
