I remember pumps dominance on social media in 2017 its crazy to see how much things have changed. I don't think pumps music is anything amazing but his self titled tape is kind of a classic. Its fun and nostalgic for me but as great as I think it is I really can't see pump making a comeback, I think he's damaged his image so much that no one is going to take him or his music seriously, the clout era is gone and I don't think it will be back any time soon. Great video. I'm one of those old hip hop heads that never resonated with many of the artists that came out of the SoundCloud era. So this video really helped me understand it a little better. Nah, it only got more mainstream. There is a reason why most of these young artists are addicts and stuck to insane contracts, Hollywood just took control. Not the change that was needed, but created. Rap never really changed though, there are some good young lyricists out there in small numbers, just like how it was back then. You always had mumble rapper type artists that talk a bunch of hot bs, posing with rented sportscars. And just like any other "age" in hip hop, there are always artists that loosely copy others, which is why all these rainbow haired clown rappers started appearing when 69 got big. Internet is what really brought change, it caused numbers of sales and attention to go up.
