No Sir ,actually it's from an oratorio invoking Maa Durga named 'Mahishasuramardini', compilation of songs and shokal from Sri Sri Durga Saptashati Chandi mostly. The songs were composed by Baidyanath Bhattacharyya (Banikumar) and set to music by legendary singer and music composer Shri Pankajkumar Mullick

I apologise before saying this and ask you to pardon my ignorance. There are two types of singing intents as far as I ‘felt’. 1) is to display their musical prowess ; their command over the rendition /raga (like this piece here); 2) is pure devotion, so no/minor fancy renditions. I prefer the later

What is it that this generation of Indian vocalists find excessive electronic reverb and effects so fascinating, it can really kill the music,at least their using real Tanpura here and not bloody iPhone apps
