Hi mr Andy, I really adore your fish and I would like to know your personal opinion from experience on the minimum jaguar cichild pair aquarium size.
@andywoodscichlids29425 жыл бұрын
5ft for a single male and a 6ft for a adult pair. Mine are currently in a 5ft, but they have a lot more growing to do yet. Males 12inch female only about 7inch. Thanks for watching happy fishkeeping to you sir.

Andy, Years ago, I had a huge (12-inch) Oscar that started out trying to bite me. Had some painful bites before I figured out how to stop him from biting. I glued (2) 9-volt batteries to the end of a wooden dowel so the pins stuck out beyond the end of the dowel. When the Oscar tried to bite me, I zapped him with the batteries. That surprised the heck out of him & he went to the bottom of the tank to hide. Over the next couple of days, I had to zap him another 5 or 6 times before he stopped. I wasn't worried about hurting him because he was so large, I just wanted to stop him from biting me. After a couple of days of being zapped, he learned not to bite me.

Love the video mate quick question do the males still grow as big if they are breeding or do they grow slower?
@andywoodscichlids29425 жыл бұрын
Don't think it makes a lot of difference to males. Females will grow slower due to all the spawn they have to produce.

My large pair of jags were super fussy feeders , the only thing they would eat was pellets or live river shrimp , wouldnt take any frozen foods or chopped up fish at all , just growing on a new pair of babies to replace my large male i lost but they have also decided to have a disagreement so they're currently separated as well

Is it true you sold a bad quality nasty and it died ? Poor lad who traded the jags got fucked over
@andywoodscichlids29425 жыл бұрын
I find that comment offensive. I did trade one of my Haitiensis. It was in perfect health. My only regret is trading a quality fish to a young inexperienced fish keeper with no patience. Haitiensis are best kept alone, especially just after a move. In this hobby most people want adult specimens instantly without doing any work themselves. Wish I kept the male Haitiensis it would still be happy here with me.
