I did the same thing, pressed the "forbidden" button (S/W Update). How did you solve your "mistake" ?

@@luohz7625 No, I didn't. I tried a burned DVD, both single and dual layer, but nothing. Hopefully I can find another Jaguar owner with a newer version of the original NAV disc, containing the LOADING.KWI file. I think a burned disc is too dark for my old player to read.

@@merakrut I fixed it I just looked up update for sat nav in the USA on eBay just popped it in waited a little and the screen turned on

eject and reinsert after cleaning. They tend to have the issue when the ambient temperature is cooler versus warmer.

If you're still having this problem, you'll need to locate or burn an updated navigation disc or your original nav disc. Pressing that button puts the nav system into update mode and will no longer communicate with the display until you put a valid navigation disc in the dvd system in the trunk and perform the software update.
