It’s not even the cage part that bothers me, we got two gorgeous cats, obviously from the video only one feels threatened, but this poor jaguar is locked in a cage with a cat that’s twice it’s size, that it clearly didn’t grow up with. All respect to tigers, that tiger did nothing wrong, but when you put a jaguar in with a tiger. (Jags are the least tamable or all big cats) there’s gonna be problems. And we saw it in this video. Owners need to be thrown into the cages with them if you ask me

This jaguar is not big, its weight should be close to 80kg. The largest jaguar is here in Brazil, in the pantanal. There are males with 120kg, and they are much larger and more robust than this jaguar.

Ya this video is really taken out of context. It’s obvious this two cats grew up together, you can’t just put in a fully grown jag and tiger without them killing each other. It’s clear that they’ve never really had problems otherwise the Jaguar most likely would be dead. The part of the cage the jaguar keeps climbing is the part where they drop food. FYI, statistically jaguars are the meanest and most aggressive of the big cats, it’s why you never see them at exotic shows or circuses, and the way this jaguar is acting towards a tiger that’s twice it’s size, is a perfect example

Mi estimado, me temo que está equivocado en cierto punto. Si el tigre le respeta, tal vez el tigre llegó un poco más joven que el jaguar y por eso lo ve con cierto respecto, de los felinos más intolerantes es el tigre, así que dudo mucho que sea un método de supervivencia que tiene el Jaguar, lo más probable es que ambos llegarán jóvenes y el tigre allá llegado aún un poco más joven, adquiriendo así la jerarquía más alta el jaguar! Tigers are cautious by nature, Jaguars are completly fearless and jump in head first whatever it is. Show me a video of a Jaguar backing down against anything. Simply, my argument is that a may be able to kill a Tiger, with the right bite in a variety of different places. In that clearer copy, in either the description or the comments, someone claimed to know the owners of the zoo where the video was shot and said that the two cats, a male Mexican jaguar and a female Bengal tiger were in the cage together to see if they would breed. Probably a bad idea but I don't think the keepers were worried about the cats hurting each other. Tension at mealtimes with big cats is not unexpected I would guess.

Aside from feeding time, I would expect the tigress likes having the jaguar as a cage mate (maybe even an actual mate!). Its a male jaguar and she is a female tiger, that fact probably plays into the feeding time dynamic. The floor was wet under his feet when she knocked him down just on sheer mass. She didn't want to fight him but he didn't want her near the food until he got his.

For anyone who is confused on the outcome of tiger vs jaguar just look at 1:28 during their small scuffle it is clear the tiger can easily overpower the jaguar but it CHOOSES not to. Simply because its a female tiger and male jaguar. This is a forced "pair" and when cats are paired or in a pride like lions, the male ususlly eats first. He is overly aggressive because he has to constantly assert his dominance, knowing full well he can not truly physically dominate the tiger, he does so by putting on a flashy show. Lots of animals do this. Often times a vicious dog is actually scared shitless, and biting out of fear not anger. If this was a male tiger and female jag, you would see differently. If it were 2 males, it would be different outcome for sure. If the female tiger had cubs to feed, this jaguar would be eaten lol. And if a female jaguar had cubs, a male tiger will have a very good fight on his hands but probably wont lose. This jaguar wants to be boss, the tiger does not care to be boss its just sending the message "i am not a pushover" If you cannot grasp this concept and fully understand it, youre just fucking stupid. Yes both cats are very capable of killing each other. But 9 times out of 10 the tiger will win

Massive body isn't enough. Jaguars are good climbers, they can easily kill a tiger or a lion or any predator by stealth kill just by climbing a tree. Their strong bite force will help them to break the prey's spinal cord. But when it comes to 1v1 (face to face) surely tigers will win. So it depends on the habitat about who will win. Tigers and lions mostly use their powers while attacking but jaguar rarely uses power and more brain which makes them the Master Hunter.
