I have a problem with xj6 not starting and I have watched gad zillion videos on the remedy. This video with out a doubt is the clearest most informational and easy to understand one I have ever seen. Everything is well lit well explained making the cold start injector replacement and testing very simple. I had put new dist cap new plug wires new plugs,new coil, new fuel pump, still no start. Then I came across this video by accident and was amazed at the explanation and cure. Car now starts. One tiny little criticism. Getting the cold start screws actually in your hand without dropping them and reinstalling them without dropping them. That part was kinda skipped. I suppose it comes under what the jag manual says , replacement is just the reverse of disassembley . Boy have I heard that one many times. A few times it is true but not very often. So sorry you had to pay that much for a Cold Start Injector. I changed mine about ten years ago. I Bought one for a 1994 Renault for $35.00. It had the same P/N as the Bosch with exception of the last four numbers, so I thought I'd chance it. It was a perfect fit on my '87 XJ6 ,and worked perfectly. I suggest you check out the many Jag forums online. There's a plethora of great people out there that can provide you with very helpful technical information, especially with topics such as interchangeable parts. Also, thank you for posting this video. Very well done!

Great information! Please let us know that part number and brand for the cold start injector. I need one asap.

@@donporter8432 Thank you, Don. I don't know if I can find that Bosch number, unless I pull the injector out and read the number right off the part. The original Jaguar part number was EAC 1383. It's in the parts manual on page 1I 07R. Again, like I said, start searching on line for cross referencing the number on the old injector you have now. By the way, don't throw the old one out. you might be able to clean it in an ultrasonic tank.

g.m. ignition module you can buy at any auto part store .4pin ignition module. new distributor cost new 550.00 come with dist cap,ign rotor.

We looked at our xj6 series and what are all those cables and tubes all 9ver your engine what been going on its a mess the battery on the wrong side of the engine bay. This car been messed with badly

Number 1 rule. Never leave anything metal on the battery ! I don’t view the remainder
