How do you tension the belt for alternator is it the rod tensioner?

Hello just want to see if you can help me out one of my belts is at 70 does that mean I just have to tension to 80 ? The water pump is at 100pounds

I think you're referring to the fact that I mention one tension BEFORE starting the engine and then I mention a different tension AFTER starting the engine? The spec for a fresh belt installed before starting the engine IS 128, but after starting the engine you just have to make sure it doesn't drop below 80. Belt tension specs are typically for immediately after installation because after driving the car the tension will drop significantly.
