Thanks so much 👍🏻 Just maybe needs a black alcantara headliner to really give it the edge?!......genuine thanks again. Much appreciated. Best, Tony

I just bought a 2006 XJ8 VDP. It's on coil-overs, will get the headliner done before getting shipped to me.

Great video! The longing I have to own one of those cars again will never leave me. A standard XJ6 would be👌👌👌😊

Wish the S-type R was made of aluminium as well. It has a ~30hp/lbft torque disadvantage when compered to an xjr as it is about 300lbs heavier. . How do you compare the two in terms of how quick,steady poised when turning, general sportier feel ? Thanks for the videos!

Beautiful car, adaptive cruise is very rare in the United States, so many of the XJ 350 come loaded except for adaptive cruise and it also comes with collision alert. Also rare on the first gen XF, of which I had both and loved. 3.0. I’ll probably be just fine with it. It’s a very reliable engine , so is the 4.2.🙏

2 things i love about a jag its ride smoothness and the beautiful interiors other than that an unreliable expensive money pit , sorry folks , Australia 🇦🇺but if i lived in England yes definitely id own one because over there its common stuff to fix them i hope , or id have to get a Toyota corolla 😅

Hello not bad but you seem to have a few things missing on mine the mpg does 26 around town and 32 33 on motorway the xjr had different supension and shocks it has sport firm and cats the xj8 had soft and cats and also the seat are sport more bucket and more firmer in the xjr with the r on them then the standed which are soft and squidgy the sport mode only hold the gears higher before change and for overtaking it drops a gear down and it has five seat doing well keep it up

33 mpg with an XJR? I know that's what Jaguar claimed but I am yet to get anywhere close to that.

is that leaper on the bonnet legal in UK? haha

Now, I think the real question about the R is, how many "borrowed" oil paintings can you fit in the boot? 😉

Haha......definitely! It certainly has that 'art dealer' feel to it! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. It's much appreciated!

if it's a Japanese car why has it not got the Japanese style boot lid. On Japanese cars of that era the number plate space was square not long.
@studiocarsofpreston4 ай бұрын
@robertwhitaker3779 Hi there. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. You are correct. This car, however, had had a UK spec bootlid fitted. 👍🏻

Hi and thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment again. I did take on board your previous comment and have indeed purchased new mics to hopefully improve the sound......it's just been so busy with work, I haven't had chance to familiarise myself with them yet, but, they're coming I promise! Thanks so.much for persevering and genuine thanks again for the feedback. Hopefully the next video will be better. All the best, Tony StudioCarsOfPreston 👍🏻

Lovely car spoilt by silly number plate, black wheels and a leaper. I own original factory finish with a proper XJR number plate
@studiocarsofpreston Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment. I have to agree, it certainly wouldn't be my choice, I would always choose factory standard, but that's how the car arrived with us and you would be amazed how many of my customers have a 'leaper' as a 'must have' when buying a Jag. The number plate 'SJR' is the previous owners initials. Thanks again for watching and enjoy your XJR! 👍🏻

Lovely car but the presentation was so poor, way too many repetitions and ah.. pauses.
@studiocarsofpreston Жыл бұрын
Hi there, and genuine thanks for the feedback. There's only me, and with the day to day running the business I'm just managing to squeeze the KZbin in if I happen to get a spare hour or 2. It's a case of trying to be a 'one take wonder' I'm afraid so it's not scripted and this is all new to me so I guess the uhms, ahhs, and 'like I says' are a byproduct of that! I do try to take on board all feedback and hopefully my presentation will get better the more I do and the more time I get to concentrate on the channel. I realise it's far from perfect yet! Thanks again for watching and for taking the time to comment. I hope it's not turned you off completely! 😆 All the best, Tony. StudioCarsOfPreston

Not easy at all to narrate a video without a script and drive at the same time. Ignore the comment! Everyone's an expert! Being and XKR owner, if I was buying an X300 as well I would buy an XJ8 because the additional power of the "R" is less of a good fit on a luxury saloon. And I agree with you - on UK roads with the R you are so quickly into jail time territory if you're not careful you do have to wonder sometimes whether you really need it!
@studiocarsofpreston Жыл бұрын
All feedback welcome good and bad. I entered the arena willingly! 😆 I guess we only get better at something by making mistakes......and I'm sure I'm making plenty! 😆Hopefully, in time, I can devote more time to the KZbin side of things and the quality will improve. I very much appreciate you supporting the channel and hope you're enjoying it. Thanks again and happy Jaguaring! 👍🏻 All the best, Tony StudioCarsOfPreston
