The saddest part about this whole thing is they didn't unveil Category 4 for Nick's takes..."eventually wrong." Everyone who watched Trevor in college saw this coming. Early success then weird turnovers and mediocre play when faced with the least bit of adversity. Welp, on to the next generational talent (Caleb) with the same problems.

Facts, especially the run game burning out. Etienne was the team MVP early in the season. Trevor was maybe the 3rd best player behind Etienne and Josh Allen, when he was healthy. However, Trevor was just about to take off then got hurt. Just a bad overall year for Jags. Especially since AFC South has gotten way better. Texans and Colts are here to stay.

Jags with the biggest collapse in franchise history. Casuals will solely blame Trevor, it’s obviously bigger than Trevor. Playcalling, pass/run protection, defense on a milk carton. Most importantly, Trevor and his injuries that he was rushed to start through. With that being said, Trevor does need to be better. The blame isn’t only on him, he is a fun scapegoat to blame though. Disastrous year for the jags.

Have you seen Lamar play though? I think you’d be hard pressed to find a player on any other playoff team that’s had more to contribute to their team’s success. The Ravens’ success has largely ridden on his historic dual threat ability, and the Ravens have been very successful. Now, honestly I do think a few other players (Tyreek, CMAC) do have a legitimate argument but as most people know it’s a QB award at this point. Moreover, it’s a QB for the 1 or 2 seed award, and Lamar fits the bill.

Lawrence may have been a weak link at the end of the year but he was far from the top of that list. The defense gave up 34, 31, 23, 30, and 28 points in each of the last 5 losses 3 of which were against back up QBs. The OL was ranked bottom 5 and that was with the best 5 on the field which didn't happen much the last 8 weeks. Finally Press Taylor is a joke who makes players fit a scheme instead of building one around his players. The play right before Lawrence went rogue and changed the play was a play they had failed at all year but he called it anyway. People can say whatever they want about Lawrence but it's gonna be the same result next year when the above issues aren't addressed.
