he's actually using the noise the needle picks up on the record's label with the EQ to make that saturated feedback sound (then he moves the needle on to the record for the last part), i think.

Really worth checking out ! Oh yeah.. I've heard it before.uuuuuu,,,the upgrade,huh?Nice.If you want to know how reverb makes a beat this is the guy,the video,AND the mix to see. Se all three !..Notice the needle on the LABEL of rthe record if you haven't yet or before.This is almost a regular song now.Now a live rap to spit w/ it ... F I ,,, i'm writing.I wonder if I could do this if I had the equipment..Yup
