Respect to Bristol massive I saluted centathp in London on lockdown day

One of the most important roots sounds ever to come out of the UK, even until now with Milton representing in Adelaide and Terry doing his works all over. I havent seen Raff (the third member of the 'Trinity') for years. A rough, raw, rugged, spiritual sound with a vibe quite like any other. This is a very good tape with some excellent music, especially they're trademark Kuntus dubs. I don't think it's 1986 though, I was living in Bristol in 1986 and don't remember them coming, although i clearly remember all 3 dances with Trinity and Shaka in Gloucester that year...also the first tune - a dub to Martin Campbell's 'Who Can We Run To' and the second track, Blacka T's 'Ethiopian Calling" didn't come until 1989/1990. I do remember a few dances in Bristol around 90/91, so maybe it's one of them at either Malcolm X Centre or The Mill Youth Centre. Great upload tho, as a regular in many Jah Trinity dances (including Jah Trinity meets Messenjah, Swindon 1988) this recording brings back good memories of a time and era passed by, and a sound system that made history by being so rough, rugged, militant and raw. Bless up 🙏🏼

I thank you for the recognition of this upload, the file said it was this same year, but as you yourself said that you do not remember the sound that year, you may be right, because you experienced one of the greatest sounds one that would have had your mark and would win several times, I also admire the way the selection was strong naked and raw..

Are you sure about the date? 1986 is pretty early about the selection even if they can played the tunes inna dubplate style.

Good point! They did play a lot of sounds on London turf tho, Shaka, Aba, Iration, Joey Jay, Jah Youth - just to name a few and easily held their own with every sound on every occasion I heard them. I heard them play Shaka in Gloucester, Reading and Birmingham between 86 and 88, all sessions were tuff! They played all over the country, from Bradford to Cheltenham and further, bringing the best vibes to the dance wherever they went. One-away sound, imo, the best of their generation.
