It's a powerful song. Word for word it's difficult to interpret. It speaks about someone taking away your reputation/Dignity (Chiremerera). Based on the Bible Scripture, Matthew 7:3: "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?". The lyrics have Shona idioms and clever phases. That's why it makes people who understand the language emotional during live shows. Coupled with mbira, hosho and drums it also tends to make people connect spiritually. It's a typical song that would have been composed and sang by proper Gwenyambiras (Mbira musicians) who also led spirit mediums into their spiritual world.
