Massey is a hard man but let’s be honest as soon as Opetaia touches his chin he’s going to realise he’s in trouble. As far as people talking CBS 🦆 up I can tell you when and if CBS 🦆 wins his fight he has pissed Opetaia off and he will humiliate CBS 🦆

@peternut358 Massey is a hard man but he's also hard to hit clean so it will interesting to see how Opetaia pins him down. And yes, I agree. Opetaia ain't the guy to piss off lol

@@boxingontheedge11 I have watched the Massey v Chamberlain and I have to say Massey looked exhausted after RD 6 and I don’t think Opetaia will have any trouble finding his chin. When Massey holds out the lead hand Opetaia will ping him every time he over reaches. What people underestimate about Opetaia is what a great technical fighter he is

You might be right mate. A lot will come down to Massey ambition and game plan. I still think it will go on points but i see an Opetaia UD with no real issues other than maybe pinning Massey down. ​@peternut358

@@peternut358 Agreed, Massey's bout with Chamberlain looked like a stroll in the park compared to Opetaia's two bouts with Bredis. The concerning thing for Massey is Opetaia wasn't happy with his last performance against Bredis and he quietly worked on improving more. As you said, he won't have any trouble finding Massey's chin.

Good break down mate. Fighters these days change their coaches as soon as they lose one or two fights. It's interesting that Jai changed coaches while continuing to win. I think it shows his boxing IQ in that even though still winning something was still missing. I think we'll see an even more sharper (if possible) Opetaia who will take Massey into deep waters and then finish him.

Cheers mate. Yeah, fighters do, usually off a loss tough so it is unusual after a win. I agree completely, something is missing and I think it is indeed the IQ. I also agree on a potentially even sharper, more patient, more thoughtful ad crisper Opetaia . Possibly, im still thinking points but would not be surprised at all if he did stop Massey late either. 🤝

I think jai will box him for 12 round and stil in the pocket and pick him off. The two bredis fights jai has learnt a lot, fighters leaen nothing taking easy fights. Jai always looks for the hard fights.

@Yongs17 yeah I'm thinking 12 rounds. Jai mentioned his dad wanted him to box more so perhaps we will see a more cautious smarter fight from him. Could depend on Masseys' game plan and desire. He will come to win but he's pretty cagey a lot of the time. Could be an interesting puzzle for Opetaia. I'm looking forward to this one.

Thanks for the excellent analysis on Opetaia-Massey. Jack Massey seems to be a likeable lad with ability just hovering on world class. Great attitude and seemingly very durable to go the distance with Joseph Parker. Here's the problem for Massey. Opetaia is way more skillful, has better speed and has snappier power than Parker. Jai also has a mean streak a mile long that Joe doesn't possess. While I think it's possible for Massey to go the distance, I see this bout following similar pattern to Kostya Tszyu's beatdown of Miguel Angel Gozalez or Rafael Ruelas unless Jai's Dad has altered his style to box more. Massey could be too tough for his own good. I hope he doesn't get too badly hurt.

Thanks man. I enjoyed your analysis. I totally agree about Jai' power, skill and snapper shots too. He has far more tools in the kit and is getting better every fight. We shall see about Massey, I wouldn't be surprised if Opetaia got him out of there ( I'll need to watch those Tszyu fights you speak of so I can't compare). You mentioned about his dad possibly changing his style approach. Well, interestingly enough Jai today mentioned that is exactly what they were working on, to box more. So we shall see. @@boxingontheedge11 Interesting about Jai's Dad wanting him to box more, hopefully from a taking less shots. To be fair Maris Bredis has tagged everyone he's faced including Usyk with plenty of good shots. I reckon if Jai lands clean often enough or he hurts Massey, that vicious streak he has will emerge to force a stoppage. If you haven't seen Tszyu Snr vs Ruelas & Gonzalez you're in for a treat. To see a man with that much power and technique just teeing off at will on quality boxers with such good chins was something to see. Other bouts of Tszyu senior fought in Oz to look up are his bouts with Jan Bergman & Hugo Pineda. Tough bouts.

@DarrenYates-b1g Yeah probably. Jai took some sizable uppercuts from Briedis ( the same punch that broke his jaw in the first fight) and a few other shots, mostly from just being a little too aggressive and a bit switched off so it's a smart thing to do really. I totally agree, once he starts landing that ferocious side of him will likley come out, love it. Briedis is a quality operator and yeah has landed on everyone and is still probably the second best cruiser in the division imo Ah OK nice one. I'll deffo check em out soon, thanks for the recommendations.

@@boxingontheedge11 I forget to mention I was at the first Opetaia-Bredis bout. I had a clear view of the lead right uppercut Jai broke Bredis' nose in the 4th. Saw the blood fly out, most brutal fight I have seen live in person, followed by Tszyu-Bergman.
