Shedinja is known for only having 1HP and being basically untouchable from anything. They made it Sans because Sans also has (not really stated in game but is implied) 1HP, and since he can only be attacked one time after he dodges everything else for like 12-15 turns, it kinda makes sense.

Shedinja is only obtainable if you train Nincada up to level 20. Upon level 20, Shedinja will evolve into Ninjask HOWEVER: If you have an EMPTY spot in your party, AND at least one Pokeball, you will ALSO get Shedinja. Shedinja is called the Shed Pokemon, and is based off of actual insect biology. When insects grow, they shed their exoskeleton (molting). Everybody has probably seen the empty shells left behind on trees when a cicada molts, this is the same thing. Shedinja is basically the empty shell that's left behind when Nincada evolves into Shedinja. Hence why it only has 1 hp. Shedinja is a Bug/Ghost type pokemon, and is the ONLY pokemon of this typing. As a result, Shedinja is only weak to a handful of attacks: Fire, Flying, Rock, Ghost, Dark. Immune to normal-type attacks (because ghost) resistant to grass, poison, ground, bug type attacks. Now here's the fun part: Shedinja's ONLY ability, as well as being the ONLY pokemon with this ability, is Wonder Guard. Wonder Guard makes the pokemon IMMUNE to ALL attacks EXCEPT for super-effective moves. (the fire, flying, rock, ghost, and dark types) There's other attacks that WILL harm shedinja despite wonderguard: It can still take damage from status attacks such as poison or burning. Entry level hazards such as spikes and stealth rock will instantly kill Shedinja when it's brought out. Damaging weather effects such as Hail/Sandstorm Leeching moves like Leech Seed Ghost-type curse damage and nightmare Destiny bond and Perish Song Any type of moves/items that cause recoil Any type of damage shield, such as Sticky Barb

Yea, Shedinja may sound amazing, a good deal of other pokemon can learn one attack or another that it's weak again. Now in Pokemon Infinite Fusion (Another fan-made game and a pretty fun one at that) where you COMBINE two pokemon together and select it's typing and abilities is where it can get interesting. Fusing Shedinja with, let's say Blissey and making it a Normal/Ghost type will reduce it's weaknesses down to only ONE type: the Dark Type. Alternatively, fusing it with a dark type to make it Dark/Ghost makes it's only weakness Fairy Type. IE: in official pokemon games, it's horrible, in the fan game of Infinite Fusion, it could be better.
