You'll want to download the Homebrew Store for Wii U from the wiiu hacks guide website. Just drop it into the correct folder on your SD card and you should be good to go.

Very nooby question; I got Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for free from Nintendo. I completely forgot what ports came with the Wii U, and if there is a method to keep that game on my console. I think you'd be fine to run the jailbreak with the game already installed to your Wii U. It won't wipe out any existing games on there. Just be sure to keep the SD card you're already using in the same state and with the same files and all. You can just merge the downloaded AIO file onto your SD card that way.

Thank you! Yes, possible, but there are risks involved, and bricking is one of them. I take on that risk each time I unjailbreak my own Wii U and jailbreak it again. It's been fine so far, but the risk of bricking is there. If you want to have a go at it, check out the wiiu hacks guide website and follow the instructions, to the letter, in the "Uninstalling CBHC" section.

Thanks for the guide. I have a question thought. I just purchased a used Wii u not knowing it was already jailbroken. It currently has Tiramisu and Aroma. I want to update to 5.5.6 and I am not able to recreate the update folder. It has the program on it to launch to do this but when I hit the a button it does nothing. Any help would be appreciated if you help me out and figure this out. Thanks.

Is it something like Tiramisu? You might do just as well to keep it that way. There is risk in reverting a Wii U back to stock. However, if you want to give it a shot, go to the wiiu hacks guide and follow the "Uninstall CBHC" part of the guide.

Is aroma as functional as tiramisu now? I did a dual installation of aroma/tiramisu to future proof, but aroma was too new at the time.

Both are great, and both will allow you to run homebred content. Tiramisu is a fine jailbreak for the Wii U, even now. Aroma has some benefits, such as being able to run home-brew right from the Wii U Menu. HOWEVER, there is risk in uninstalling older jailbreaks from the Wii U. If you want to have a go at it, though, check out the "Uninstalling CBHC" section of the wiiu hacks guide website for details. Just be super careful and follow them to the letter.

@@FeelTheVoid no, only through internal memory or HDD USB drive. Although USB drive is not recommended since they aren't made to constantly read and write

Not yet. They can be played from external USB media, though, such as a USB flash drive or hard drive.

Is the micro sd card adapter locked ? It wasn’t working for mine but I slid the lock to unlocked and then it let me write to the sd card
