A former oil rigger, bouncer and lumberjack sounds pretty badass and that certainly an accurate description of Bill Kazmaier. But more impressive is we are talking about the greatest strength athlete of all time. Some of Kaz’s most impressive titles and feats of strength include: · 3-Time World Strongest Man · 2 IPF World Championships (when there was only one federation) · First person to bench press 300 kg (661 lbs) · 2425 3-lift total (strict judging and without modern supportive gear) Kaz, now a born-again Christian and motivational speaker, sat down with me in an exclusive interview at the GASP headquarters. In this interview, Kaz talks about getting started in the iron game, training techniques, various contest and competitors, and mental strategies he used to create success. If you’ve already seen the legacy interview GASP posted earlier this week, this one contains about 30 minutes of additional footage.

You gotta remember Kas did all of this with primitive training knowledge and programming, little to no lifting aids or equipment, basic nutrition and even more basic supplements, no advanced recovery techniques like the guys use today like cryotherapy & oxygen chambers and the bare bones of anabolics (maybe a little test/deca). He would have absolutely DESTROYED the competition today!!

There has been many great strongmen for different reasons but the 3 "strongest man that have ever lived" are Bill Kazmaier, Big Z and Eddie Hall. The 3 most dynamic are probably JPS, Magnus ver Magnusson and Mariusz Brian Shaw is somewhere in between both categories.

I don't understand Kaz being thin skinned about the Superstar Graham comments. Graham has been very open about his own use. (he was against steroid abuse, but has said that they are "marvellous drugs"). ALL Graham said was "Kaz was always so lively & ready, I think he was blood doping, it was like he was on cocaine". That's it. He wasn't saying Kaz wouldn't have won, or anything like that. "Was he a superstar, or was that just his gimmick?". Easy buddy. Yes, btw, he was a Superstar. Graham sold out Madison Square Garden over a dozen times. Great interview, and glad the channel numbers are finally blowing up.

Kaz, asked who is the strongest of all times? That’s it’s hard to answer, but I do know that the kaz has bad temperament, he tends to get butt hurt when something doesn’t go his way.I have seen a lot of world strongest man competition. The management can easily stack the events Against you so that Their champion wins. Personality is a must If you want to win under those circumstances and kazmaier is lacking. And that is why sigmarson won so many events. they loved him.

+ChaseVII Kaz was a Herculean Demi-God SAVAGE in his day. Destroying the competition in WSM and in the IPF. Winning World Championships and Breaking World Records. He was Worlds Strongest in 2 SPORTS AT THE SAME TIME! Who else in the history of WSM CAN SAY THAT? Bill Kazmaier could’ve won at least 2 more WSM Titles if the new promoters didn’t keep him from competing. Both of Geof Capes WSM Titles and 1 from Jón Páll Sigmarsson really belong to Bill. Bill Kazmaier was truly a 6X WSM! SQUAT = 800lbsX10 900lbsX3 BENCH = 500lbsX15 600lbsX5 633lbsX3 661lbsX1 INSANE LOL! I LOVE KAZ!........The Real G.O.A.T!

If you watch the 88 WSM, Kaz wasn't allowed to compete after 82 due to the fact that they didn't invite him, and he was past his prime, but anyway he destroyed JP in the pure strength events. The ref called him for not keeping his arms fully extended on one of the static holds, and Kaz claimed he couldn't because his triceps were so massive, and he got DQed from that event, and had a bit of a meltdown. The next day was the overhead cable toss, and he was a record holder in that event, but he had a terrible performance, because he said he wasn't able to sleep much the night before because he was still pissed about being DQed from the other event. Long story short, if things had gone a little different that year he would have won another title, and i think you can make a solid case that Kaz would have won a majority, if not all of the competitions from 83 through 87, if they had allowed him to compete! He was absolutely dominant back then, and way ahead of his time!

Kaz was so great but god he's a bad loser He could have been a great ambassador for strong man but that reason he wasn't invited back to wsm because he was too strong is bs. He was extremely abusive towards the judges and other athletes. Have you seen footage of him speaking with David webster it was disgusting. He's cool calm collected now.. But for f sake jon pall only did powerlifting for a couple of years compared to bill, he only went to powerlifting because he couldn't snatch correctly with his arm in olympic lifting. Ohh pure strength when jon pall was at his most strongest in static strength jon pall... Ohh the events were rigged. All 3 athletes competed in the same events. Who won 8 out of 10 events. Plus wsm is not powerlifting
