@Fabian; Although I understand your sentiment, I strongly believe the biggest culprits are the parents. Her father was a nightmare then, and continues his abuse even now - 38.5 years after this Star Search appearance... *Which** BTW; her answer to “Why don’t you have a boyfriend?” was her allowing a glimpse through the window of her life then, as well as a prolific statement regarding the continuing bullshit she endures to this day. Daddy was already a full time emotional and mentally abusive drunk as well as a womanizing prick well before this Star Search competition. He would leave for days on end, offering no rational excuse - but when you grow up in a town of only 2K, the neighbors have more insight into your problems than you do, so her mother was well aware of his “indiscriminate dicky dunking” habits. The last I heard, he is still managing to have total control of her assets due to a “temporary” conservatorship giving him full control over 10 years ago. Yes, she was in turmoil then. To her; it felt as if her life had spun out of control all at once. There’s no question she needed professional and *compassionate* treatment to assist and guide her back to mental and physical health. However, that conservatorship should have been delegated to and controlled by someone with **her** best interests at heart. Her father has the moral character of a slug, and for him - it was about attaining control of her money... he has no interest in seeing her healthy - especially if it leads to him not being in the prime seat to embezzle from her accounts. I truly feel badly for her.

Wow so terrifying
@MsJubjubbird11 ай бұрын
I think her first album showed some of it. But then it got breathier and breathier. But she also did it to herself. The partying, smoking and drinking and not keeping at her music meant she can't do what she could do with no damage and a lot of practice
@amandad520811 ай бұрын
As soon as Baby One More Time took off, the studios had her lip syncing. They sexed her up and trotted her out and didn't give a crap about her voice. As a result, she lost her voice. If you don't use it, you lose it. Throw in cigarettes to stay thin, drinking and partying, and her voice is shot. She is truly the ultimate victim of stage parents and a predatory music industry and it's heartbreaking. I will always root for Britney, no matter how many times she spins around her living room.
@MsJubjubbird11 ай бұрын
@@amandad5208 That's not how your voice works. The DNA is still there. And she sung live up until her third album. But then she got into smoking and partying and such- which does kill your voice. But she wanted to be famous. She said in her first boo that she was the driving force and the one who wanted the record deal and who got to pick her projects and put in the idea for the Baby One More TIme video. The narrative she is spinning now is very different to the original one and seems to be a play for sypathy.

pageants don't make money and her mother actually pulled her out of them because she didn't like the message they were sending her kid. The real story was that Britney really wanted dance lessons and so their parents would do whatever it took to pay for them, even if it mean not paying the phone bill. She and her mother wrote a book together when she was about 18 and she basically said how much she wanted to be famous and that she was driving everything.

Britney is still able to sing this way, but there is this saying "Hollywood kills talent" and Britney is a victim of this. Many times it has been said by her and her team that her label won't let her do music that shows her vocal ability. Her label wants her to make music that is "pop-like" and music to dance to, not to show her vocal ability. If you listen to her music aside from her singles, you can still hear this talent and voice.

Who would have known this girl would grow up to be such a legend in her own time and it's so sad what happened to her I'm so glad she's living the life she wants to live now and she finally wrote a book explaining how everybody screwed her over throughout her career Go Britney you're such a legend we love you and we're behind you 100%❤!

THIS child britney SLAYS the old britney plus her whole carrier with ease. She used to have actual talent...beautiful talent😳

Her pop career was actual talent, too, and helped her to become one of the most successful women ever lol.

she was controlled by her management to sing in her baby pop voice. she still has raw talent, it's just being oppressed as it's not as desirable or 'sexy'.
@natirasohumana3 жыл бұрын
@@xghostygirl she was the one that shaped her persona today. why y'all can't accept it? it's even more talent than just singing the same way as everyone.

Why have I never watched this? This truly does make me cry for britney.. I cant believe how much trouble, agonization & pain the entertainment industry has forced on this talented, innocent, beautiful little girl.. it really does sadden me what the media, tabloids & roach-paparazzi has done to this girl.. More importantly it's down right depressing what her family has done.. her talent was definitely seen as the cash cow & ticket out from their struggling up-bringing.. FREE BRITNEY!
