just played this game today on steam, died a lot, didn't understand scoring neither how to survive, kept playing just for the sheer amount of goofy ridiculousness level this game reaches, especially the last phase of the last boss. final verdict: I don't even know what was happening on screen lmao nice bullet hell.

Man this game rips so hard. Cave poured every ounce of talent and insanity into this game and DFK:BL. This game and BL also really highlight the strengths of the CV1000 hardware with the high sprite density and judicious use of alpha blend modes.

At the first part of stage 5, you could simply destroy the 3rd laser turret right after your hyper ends, it gives a lot more bonus points than the tank.

At the TLB part, you just graze and graze and if I will be play it and get to the TLB (I have this game in my PC btw), I would be immediately dead before the TLB, or the second loop. Nice gameplay BTW. Yeah I play danmaku, mostly Touhou and some Cave shmups like Mushihimesama, but I still can’t get up on the easiest difficulty.

To record I use Dxtory with the Lagarith lossless codec. I then upscale it to 1440p in Megui with the x264 encoder on a slow preset.

Did you have any issues watching replays? Most replays I've watched in-game (my own replays & online leaderboards) very often desync. However, Black Label Arrange replays don't desync for some strange reason.

All of the 1.5 replays I've downloaded of the leaderboard desync at the 2-4 midboss. Own replays always work though.

god i have been denying myself a huge amount of satisfaction by ignoring the scoring in cave games its delicious any tips for not breaking your hit streak when holding onto hypers ? i always break them after long , it seems like theres no way to consistently keep your streak if you want to hold onto a hyper for longer than a few seconds

That's basically the trick. Increase the HIT number as high as you can using hyper, and then keep the chain going withoit using hyper. You get most points when you have a high chain with full (unused) hyper.

Though you don't need to fulfill the TLB requirements which this was optional as the ending you'll get are the same whether you beat the TLB or not except the case for DonPachi and DoDonPachi

@Chiafade now Update, Yeah, in the previous game apparently one of the waifu doll bots got corrupted by the bee robot monster and now she's the villain of this game. I'd say that's a decent plot. Better waifu on the cover that you play in this game anyways

It's worth it. Standard mode, 1.5, is the most stable one. The devs fixed the [absence of] slowdown in Black Label Arrange (Ketsuipachi) and the other arrange mode, so most gamemodes are okay now.

This game (as well as all others made by the same developers) is developed arround the slowdown. Its difficult scoring mechanics and dense bullet patterns go hand in hand with the slowdown.
