JAIN interview on making of her music videos and upcoming US tour. Impromptu

Jain is set to make waves in 2017 with her eye deceiving performances and stunning music videos. Her two big hits Makeba and Come are sweeping across Europe putting a beat in the public's step. We sat down with Jain to find out where she gets her muse from and how the performer Otis Redding influenced her from a very young age. She talks about her life as a traveller learning new styles of music such as Arabic and African percussion. To artist explains why she chose the name Jain and how it relates to Jainism. Finally, Jain reveals why she wrote a song for Miriam Makeba and how she hopes to influence her generation with the activist's story.

- She is an amazingly talented musician. Initially at the age of 7 in France she kicked off with starting to learn drums, and after that when she lived in Abbu-Dabi she was taught arabic percussions, then guitar, bass, keyboards... all the rest followed. Jain plays all the instruments on her album, she does every track the one after the other and gets a whole complete thing just like if she was backed by a real band. She has a touch of a true artist. AND she is immensely sweet and so cool. Man, how lucky we are !

- In fact it doesn't surprise me coming from her ! Thank u for ur remark, Without it I probably would have missed it. While we're at it, did you notice the tribute to Dolores (Cranberries) in "Makeba" near the end when she stands by a barbed wire/scafolding and spreads her arms and fingers, just like Dolores does in "Zombie" ?
