Yes, you are right, many people live even today in the Jaisalmer fort, so it is living structure, the Red Fort is a museum today (there will be video from the Red Fort too, soon)

In the past, I passed by India so often when I was sitting in an airplane towards Hong Kong, Singapure or Bangkok. I had never an idea, that India has so many beautiful and interesting faces, Milosh showed here the last weeks. My eyes now are more opened, India is also a wonderful country. Maybe in the more ore less far future I would like to visit this Country also. But then Milosh must stop here first with his videos - my list is already so long because of the wonderful videos in the past :D. But first, I wanna see Athen and then Vienna in some days .... AndreasAC Because western media will always potray India in poor light. They will never talk about the outstanding UNESCO world Heritage sites. They will show Taj Mahal and then filthy places. Trust me u will not find countries like India in d world with such diverse landscapes. Desert, Himalayas, Royal heritage, coast line, lakes, wild life sanctuary, temples, forts etc.

India has a very rich history. It is as old as Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, etc. and it's architecture reflect it's evolution over the course of time, both good and bad. Too bad much of the history is neglected. But there is a surge of cultural revivalism in India with more attention now given to its' history. Hopefully high production videos such as these creates a genuine interest amongst romantics across all disciplines. And India should learn from China how to maintain it's heritage

Was there in early Jan 1974. Stayed in a dharamshala for 2 rupees a night (slept on charpois). That was the only accommodation available as far as we could ascertain. Took 11 hrs by steam train from Jodhpur. It was an unreal experience.
