Jaisalmer, Rajasthan - Staying in a 250 Rupee Fort! Kinging-It India

Today we drove all the way to Jaisalmer in the west of India and ended up staying in an 800 year old fort - for £2.50! Chapati's big reveal is also here! haha she looks amazing! We're super happy with how she turned out! Of course that's her colour, she has to keep the family name up and running! (Mayo!)
We also spent the night in the glorious desert with a little surprise in the morning that made our complete lives!! Jaisalmer, you beauty!

Hey Gopal! Thanks so much for the recommendation! We're a little sad because we only had 2 months for this trip! And because we spent SOO long (three weeks in total) looking for our rickshaw to buy in Delhi, it left us with so little time we had to muss Udaipur! We're atually in Kerala now! We've made it all the way down! Hoping to come back to india and visit places like Varanasi, Rishikesh and Kashmir!

Love this series of videos, and love the way you’re being honest. I’ve travelled a little bit in India, and with two small children, one with blonde hair, the selfie attacks were intense and do get a bit much sometimes! But all good fun looking back. The heat don’t help, or the shits, with the lack of patience.

I'm rewatching all your vlogs and I have to say I totally agree about the camels and the elephants. It makes me sad to see people riding them. When I was in America I almost cried when I saw all the horses standing around at Central Park waiting for people to get in the carriages. My friend from Canada was really annoyed with me that I was saying it was horrible. She said "what else would they be doing if they weren't doing this? " and I said "frolicking in a field! " she rolled her eyes at me.

I was in jaisalmer last month for few days and I found that people of jaisalmer are really poor because they don't have source of regular income but I must admit that I feel much safer there as it is a small and hassel free city one should spend some days in this down as it provides a sense of calmness and peace.

We do put a lot of time into these, that's why they don't come out as often (driving all day, trying to eat, film, plot a route and survive doesn't leave much room for editing!) As soon as we're home they will come out more frequently but for now you'll have to be patient! 😃
