We are in need of a 400 ship 5 aircraft carrier FLEET! If we want to assure all the countries along Indian Ocean Rim - which ranges from Australia to Oman to Kenya, Madagascar till South Africa we need a large FLeet and 5 carrier groups - 2 to guard our own immediate coastline ( Bay of Bengal to Arabian Sea) vicinity and 3 to be rotated in the Indian Ocean with 1 carrier to go into South China whenever we have to signal to our friendly countries such as Vietnam, Philippines and Taiwan. Nirmala Sitharaman wasted her tenure as Defence Minister showing off flying in a AF jet, instead of negotiating with the Americans to deploy a carrier or even LEASE us one and do technical collaboration on carrier building especially key components, and LAID Keel for 2-3 carriers!! Our Ministers are pedantic in their approach to Policy. Even this EAM walks on eggshells when it comes to The Dragon!!🙄

@@raj_kumar0- wave a magic wand over Min of Finance ( coz the do nothing Sitharaman is sitting there ) and put a program together that gets us there! Nirmala enjoyed her MinDef time ( a wasted oppty timewise) and it is a 20-25 year plan and you allocate 8-10 billion $ for each year! We are masters of Jugaad and with experience we can push out carriers every 6-7 years. The 3 addl carriers will take us to 2040 by which time we would have built cruisers, destroyers, corvettes and at least 2 subs every 3-4 years! You will have 5 -6 shipyards cranking out vessels every 10-12 months like Mazgaon has shown it can. We have to be ready for all threats and help IOR countries as well. Indian Ocean is not your backyard lake to take it lightly! Anyway the Navy Planners have several documents & worksheets to show how fast we can build or how to slow things down too! It’s our job to secure our country and our neighborhood against all interlopers.

Namaskar, 🙏🙏🙏🙏 For all the hoopla and marketing gimmicks over Make in India over the last 10 years - the facts remain that India imported $101.8 billion from China in 2023/24. Indian industry will completely collapse without critical Chinese inputs from pharmaceuticals to electronics. Even the Patel Statue in Gujarat would be impossible without China, which cast some 6,500 bronze panels that weighed a total of 1700 metric tons. As for military, India - world's most populous nation - still cannot even make a decent indigenous assault rifle. It is now forced to turn to AK-203 from Russia once again.🙏🙏

So you predict doomsday- you are not alone.Unlike China it's a free country where anyone can say anything. I don't believe others- I don't believe you. I agree we have miles to go before we sleep.India is a democracy and a leviathan; a sixth of the world. It takes almost superhuman effort to change anything.Also it takes a lot of time measured in years- but if you see how much we have covered that too is enormous. To go anywhere we need vision and sustained action. In the past we had neither.Too many pork barrel politicians : cynical,with stupid ideas and shallow intellect frame ploicies with an eye on his caste and community based electorate.We always had poor leadership- now we have a forward looking one. It has delivered much; it will deliver moire. You talk about casting bronze n China. 2500 years ago we forged the Iron Pillar that stands in Delhi; a feat equal to the construction of the Pyramids of Egypt. Forges and foundries don't grow overnight; they have to be sustained with reasonably profitable orders to survive. Foreigners shattered our economy ; after Independence we chose a Marxist leaning economic model that got us nowhere.We have begun to correct it and are already seeing results. It will take another decade of sustained ,directed effort to fructify.

This EAM fellow cannot have any answer to Indians losing 4000 sq KMs at Golwan. Why is this useless fellow not having any answer on this. He does not have any answer for Indians dependence on China for Electronomics and Solar Panels. And dependence on China for 60 percent ofAPI (Active Pharmaceutical Ingrediants ) and other life saving drugs is a dangerous dependence and still have a balanced Chinese relations.
