He's not THE Mar though. Jak is his descendant. Why would Jak go back in time to just become his own ancestor? That would create a paradox. Also, how would Jak go back? There aren't any rift gates left. At least none that we've seen.

@@Ay-xq7mj Not really. Every game that I can think of that's gotten a remake has been a remake like FF7 or Resident Evil. When it's a remaster they'll put "remaster" or "definitive edition" or "HD collection" below the title.

I don't understand this game lol. This game most likely takes place in the past, but Jak himself said "we traveled to the future", we also can see this scene where Samos's hut is destroyed and the city itself is definitely more futuristic compared to the previous game.
