Jak X Unused Soundtrack

Now that I am thinking, there are several possible reasons why the track was not included. It could have been "not HARDCORE enough", or maybe the game was built to only have a set number of tracks to randomly choose from. Maybe it was too slow. Or perhaps too bass drum focused to be heard clearly on all TVs.

The OST was composed by Billy Howerdel, but this song doesn't sound quite like the rest of the OST Maybe to be used as a end credit music of something like that before being removed?

i mean its got a rap beat so i think it fits with the hardcore style of the game. could be it was too slow tho yea

I think the reason is that it's opening is very down beat. most other tracks are high tempo and up beat so in that sense, this really doesn't fit that mold

If I can recall, there is another unused track from the demo too. On the final version the track is called Rev Up, sounds totally different from the demo

Man, I wish they'd make another Jak and Daxter, what made the series so great was they took a childs concept and applied a more mature approach to what looks like a kids game on the surface. I don't know of any other game that had that kind of style aside from Anime games. This series will always be my all time favorite. I've always said I'd get a PS5 if they brought back Jak.

For the authentic Jak X soundtrack experience, put it on 1.25x (No joke, most of the music in Jak X was sped up from how it was originally composed to have a faster tempo.)

This demo is from a demo magazine unfortunately, PCSX2 wasn't able to play this demo for some reason, but Luminar Light fixed this issue by patching some files in the game. You can buy original Jak X demo for the PS2 from eBay.
