Jakarta's Friendly Fake Market 🇮🇩

Tanah Abang is a huge market in Jakarta where you can find mostly clothing but also other goods such as jewelry.
While walking around there I managed to buy a gold Rolex and a black Guess shirt. While strolling around outside the market I met the happiest vendor ever. We gave me some of his tofu balls with spicy sauce while non-stop smiling. What a legend he was!
After the shopping spree I had a coffee from Indonesia's largest coffee shop franchise Kopi Kenangan.
As I can be a bit harsh on the Dutch sometimes I decided to be sweet to them by having some sweet pastries from Holland Bakery. It didn't dissapoint!

cool! i really respect adventurous tourist like you man...hunting for traditional market and food stall...its very rare white tourist travel and hunt to this market...hope you can try the park on menteng area...its very couzy to hang...and try more the deep more to other indonesia city that foreign tourist never touch it, such as banda aceh, padang, nias, lampung, sukabumi, brebes, tegal, pemalang, banyuwangi, pacitan, maluku, and also papua...cool man really cool😀

In Jakarta, there is old style bread. The name is suisse bakery. Old style Italian ice cream since 1930's go to ragussa U also can go to bogor city on south Jakarta. Little city surrender by some mountains. Bogor palace with thousands of Belgian deers. The deer was present from Belgium kings in 1920-1930's during honeymoon. Bogor famous of culinary. Botanical garden, Tea plantation, waterfalls, safari zoo. From Jakarta to bogor can take commuter line. It Take around 60-90 mins. Schedule every 15-20 mins. Cost less than usd 1.have fun brother ! Don't forget buy carrots for the deers!

CILOK is a typical Sundanese streetfood snack shaped like meatballs made from tapioca flour with additional spices, such as peanut sauce and chili sauce. its shape is around and sometimes filled with fillings, such as meat or pieces of eggs inside.

Tim, it's just sort of suggestion. When you visited Holland Bakery, you must try traditional indonesian cake/pastry. The savory one, you must try LEMPER = it's a rice cake filling with shredded chicken/beef and the sweet one, please try SPIKOE = it's 3-layer cake with moist and soft texture and filled by strawberry/pineapple jam in between layers. You should try those, Tim!.
