I was very surprised when i read The Host ( i read the twilight saga first). The writing style improved a LOT and has a very broad emotional experiences with the main characters and other characters. I was hooked, seriously :)

I LOVE how jake Abel treats his character Ian as if it was him. Like he said "me and Jeb..." Or "me and ..." As if he was really Ian OShea and not Jake Abel

I read the book about a ear ago now and I love it. I was a bit sceptical about the boom since I'm not a huge twilight fan so I was expecting something like that but as I was always tole not to judge a book by its cover or author. I really live it and I also hope that the film is just as good because I still haven't seen a single movie where The movie does justices to the book

Love the book!! Jake Abel doesn't look like Ian from the book (dark hair, sapphire eyes) but I love his work in Percy Jackson, supernatural, and I am number four. I can't wait to see this movie

this book is really a contrast from twilight, the cold forest/ the hot deserts, the cloudy ambiance/the sunny scenes..... gonna be a great movie..

I'm really looking forward to this movie. I think they did a good job with casting by getting actors that can actually act. They didn't base their casting solely on if they are attractive, they based it on talent. :)

Melanie Loves Jared. Wanda has Melanie yelling in her head. Wanda's body (Melanie) loves Jared, so she can't physically BE with Ian. That's it. UGH!

its called comparisons because of the fact its the same author, its going to happen. Yes the stories are different but same author, they do that to other people too, especially directors like "how was it different filming this film then that other film" it happens.

In the book, jared is a bit buff, n the brothers ian and Kyle are big and buff. Aren't the two ian and Jared around 30ish, the actors aren't the way i imagined it, but i hope they do credit to the book :)

I have read three of the four books of Twilight, and have read The Host, and I have to say that is the same plot as Twilight, only the characters have different names, even the main character name (not the alien) is anagram of the name Stephanie Meyer. The plot is the same, a love triangle, and the idea of the "souls" are ridiculous, even the names of the planets are stupid.

It's inevitable. Twilight ended up bigger than anyone could have guessed and now a movie, that is on the completely opposite side of the things, written by the same person is coming out. Hell any book Mrs. Meyer comes out with 20 years from now will still be compared to Twilight just like anything J.K. Rowling comes out with will be compared to Harry Potter.
