Tony get ahold of Pittsburgh power there power box for that C15 is awesome. Also when you run the overhead leave the VVA’s a bit lose and run the valves tight.

Jaks or any good auxiliary break system is safer, and yes saves on maintenance and also the biggest cost, fuel. Also, when you get 75-80% down the hill, start releasing the brakes to start building up speed , so the momentum gets you up to speed. You won't need to put power on to speed up.

Canadian here, was surprised to see you pulling trains you can only get 105,500 on then right is that weight worth it compared to what you could haul on a single? I’m not sure how much you could get on a single trailer or what axle combo you need to achieve it. I’ve heard 90,000 but not sure what that’s on

With the pusher axle we can haul 116,000 plus 10% over the the first scale. So they work pretty good off the farm.

The engine brake is a compression brake, it turns the engine into a compressor

@@roymills2564 Exhaust and Jake Brakes are both engine brakes, but work differently. In essence, an exhaust brake works by “plugging” the exhaust, usually (maybe always?) by using a butterfly valve in the exhaust system. When the butterfly valve shuts, it increases back pressure, which increases the resistance the pistons experience on the exhaust stroke, thus slowing the engine RPM. Jake Brakes affect the timing of the exhaust valves in relation to the combustion cycle. They hold the exhaust valves shut longer than usual, on the exhaust stroke, basically making the cylinders air compressors, thus slowing the engine RPM. That’s a simple overview, at least the way I understand it. A simple search of “exhaust brake vs Jake Brake,” will get you better explanations.

Our local big bean crush plant just built a double Quonset like that. 3 million in storage put up. Plant now has 4 dumps. Went from sitting for 8 hours to less than 2 at most

It looks like you take great care of your equipment but if you whant it to last you have to maintain it all. Like you do ! Farmers where I live don’t polish the rims thay look so much better polished if I still owned trucks I always keep them polished and I think d o t leaves a person alone if trucks are keep clean and looking good
