i LOVE how during the matches part, Anne kept staring at the fire, waiting for Jake to blow it out, but Jake just kept talking, and finally Anne had to blow it out for him or he'd get burned. and the look she gave him afterwards..these two have so much chemistry xD

I saw this movie Love & Other Drugs a while ago with my Mom in the room and that's sometimes what I remember most. I miss her! I think though that we both really liked the movie and could relate, each in our own way. I related because of the drugs/meds I was on; my mom b/c of the drugs/meds she was on. Nuff said! Well it's about the human condition and how it can become sick. I think we both thought Jake Gyllenhaal was cute!! :) The theme of love is cool in this movie and I like how Jake is all so rational and cool (though he does fall in love) and she, Anne Hathaway, is all so emotional. She is more artistic, more dramatic. And you can tell she has been hurt. That's why in the beginning it's just sex. To them both. But it's really hot sex! Then it becomes something more. But of course, we the audience can tell it's going to become something more based on the interview that Anne and Jake have face to face in the restaurant. (The sort of interview.) I think what made this movie so wonderful and out of place in modern times for a love story is that she is sick; the woman starring role is frail and she's not going to last very long, she's destined for death. This makes the love story a bit more tragic and telling. He really has to decide how to proceed. Will he love her for the remainder of her life? Will he be there for her when times get tough? Will the sex still be as great? What will be gelling them together in the long run? Is love just sex? Is love just biochemicals, the way life is just biochemicals? By the way, this movie made me also think of the younger generation of people who get struck with Parkinson's Disease, such as Michael J. Fox and younger, and what its effects are like on them. One of my favorite scenes if the one where Anne Hathaway is so happy to have discovered self-advocacy and her network of friends who are also diagnosed with Parkinson's. That's how I feel!

My thoughts exactly. They are obviously very good friends and get along with each other very well, no doubt about that, but that doesn't automatically make them a couple. Everybody out here is just asking when will they finally get together and when are they getting married, completely overlooking the fact that Anne is engaged. Not every friendship between man and woman has to lead into a relationship.

Almost always these interviews with actors are repetitive even though the interviewer tries hard to ask questions the actors haven't already been asked.
