Loved absolutely everything he had to say about Brokeback Mountain. Especially what he said about Heath cuz I remember watching several press interviews for the movie and some of the questions and reactions that were given to them were so ridiculous and Heath never wavered in his seriousness and admiration about his role and about the film. He shut down ANY homophobia that was sent his way and never indulged in ANY jokes about the story. Love Jake for bringing that up and man... I miss Heath. Such a kind soul who is dearly missed.

we might not care, but they do, and so does Hollywood - an oscar-nominated and then oscar winner make significantly more money for their roles. Lucky for me, i didn't see any trailers or teasers and i knew nothing about the film, because it came out in a time i was busy with a lot of stuff, and one night i was free, and checked my local cinema for a movie, and this was playing in an hour, so i thought, heck why not. Holy crap that was one of the best "heck why not's" of my life. Nightcrawler was way better than i thought it would be, it totally captivated me, i was held hostage in the cinema. This doesn't happen often to me, that a movie can totally trap me like that, and it's mainly because of Jake's performance. I wish i could see that movie over and over and over, like that first time.

Man, I really wish he would have discussed his role in "Prisoners". His performance in that movie matched and even surpassed Hugh Jackman's performance in the same. He really should've gotten an Oscar nomination for that performance!

I believe that Jake is one of the best actors working today. You can tell by the way he describes and analyzes these films, that he has a true love for the craft of filmmaking and he puts real thought into the roles he’s played/will play. P.S- Also- watching Heath Ledger on screen is always emotional for me. Already he had delivered so many amazing performances and it makes me feel devastated that we will never get to see how his career unfolded.

SO happy he talked about Donnie Darko!! TIP for anyone watching, the Director's Cut of the movie answered all my major questions, wish it was the actual release, they do a great job of explaining the more mystical aspects of the film, still has a sense of mystery but was much more satisfied with the ending and understood what was happening a lot better, saddens me there are so many people who haven't seen that version of it

Is anyone more dedicated to their characters but also as humble as Jake? He is so human and thoughtful, and just seems to appreciate the gift that is the life he’s been given. I don’t know anyone else that could casually say the Crystals were a family friend and that’s how he got involved with City Slickers, then to still grow up and be humble and grateful daily...that’s special. That’s why he’s special.

I prefer Nightcrawler just for how he portrayed that character, and then in Southpaw he goes the opposite direction in character. Again in End of Watch he swings the opposite way. He just can't seem to find a bad character to play. Even in BM he was not at his peak acting.

I am disappointed Nocturnal Animals isn't on this list, but I guess it's to be expected seeing as it's not one of his more popular films. However, I was also extremely disappointed he was not nominated for an Academy Award for that film. An absolute masterpiece in all departments, be it simply film making, or music, directing, acting and above all, symbolism.
