I like that Andy stands his honest ground about sailfish versus tarpon which I have to agree with him on.

Fantastic! I love this podcast for documenting fly fishing legends. But this episode insanely awesome. What this man has done for the fishing world is truly remarkable. As many of the Mill House guest but this one feels extra special.

Andy, these are the most fantastic interviews! Guys like this have such knowledge and history. It is so important that it is being documented. Thanks you.

Mr. Jordan gave me an STH reel at the Fly Tackle Dealers show in Denver back in the early ‘90’s. Still use it today. Thanks Jake!

Quite the man, awesome podcast guys. Little story with Jake, while on my first-ever trip to the Keys, I happened to go to Jake's fly shop in the Fara Blanco Lighthouse. Jake sold me a $15, blue & white, two-hook, popper, sailfish fly. I also met Captain Nat Ragland who had his tarpon skiff tied up while waiting out some weather. I was enthralled with the center casting platform on it. Nat was nice enough to let me step aboard and check it out, the first time on a tarpon skiff actually, and the one he fished with Billy Pate a lot. Anyway, I was lucky enough to hook a white marlin on that fly while fishing out of Summerland Key with Captain Jim Sharpe on the Sea Boots. I'll never forget those moments as they were magical to say the least. I sure wish I knew then what I know now about Jake, I would have picked his brain for all that fishy knowledge he's got. Hello Jake, thanks!

I had an STH reel in the 1990s. Great reel.

I flats fished with Jake and night flyfished with him. Keeping the rod straight with a tight drag on the Mako does wear the tarpon out incredibly quick. All true

Andy gets a little heavy handed with his interviewing with this one. I felt sorry for Mr Jordan.

Jake is a very nice guy and has done a lot. But sometimes you have to call bullsh*t when someone says they catch 100 - 120lb tarpon in 3 to 4 mins on 6lbs of drag…

Go back and listen to Andy at (22.39) The endorsement by Roy Cronacher. Maybe it's you that has many levels of bull shit.
