It took Leslie a long time and between 2 and 3 really bad relationships before she realized that Jake was her all. :) I'm so happy that she and Jake found each other otherwise she would have ended up with her now ex-husband Callum Pardy and that wouldn't have been good for anybody.

right! I liked callum in general til we found out what he did lol. I think leslie & jake were always meant to be, it just took awhile to stick. glad someone's still, watching these old ones, it's a great family fun show and couple!

@@StarlightDreamWeaver Yeah, and how do we explain how and why Callum disappeared for all that time? But Jake had never wanted anybody more than he wanted Leslie. He kept right on persuing her. When she got out of that relationship with the Bill Clarke it's like Jake's family were ready to fight and protect her. Malachy always tells people who are literally not blood related to them that they're family. Leslie and Des are family to Malachy even though they're not blood related.

@@StarlightDreamWeaver Even when she told him that she's pregnant in the second to final episode. He made sure that she knew that he would always be there for her and not tell Jake until she had a chance to talk to him about it. Of course she didn't get that chance because Pickard tried to take her out and Malachy had to tell Jake himself. Jake remained loyal to Leslie to the very end. Even when Nikki told Jake to leave and let her take care of Leslie herself he told her that he wanted to go to the hospital with her. Even as Alicia was arresting him he was begging her to let him go to the hospital to be with Leslie. That's how loyal Jake was to Leslie and their unborn children.
