I’ve been dealing with exactly this after losing my mom 3 years ago. She was only 59. Some of my symptoms relate to me obsessing about my breathing and thinking i’m not breathing right or not getting enough air. And also thinking i’m going to randomly get a heart attack. It’s awful to live with but have been currently seeking help for it. Distracting myself has been a big help. Hope I can overcome this

Same my mom has had a lot of health issues. She was diagnosed 15 years ago with an autoimmune disease. I didnt realize then but that's when my health anxiety started I thought I was sick after tons of apts, web Mding, and er visits eventually progressed into gad and panic attacks. My mom recently had an aneurysm and is in the CCU. I'm so close to her its the worst feeling. The health anxiety is kicked back in full force.

Hello, how are you doing these days? Do you still get the breathing issues? Hope you are ok.

Your breathing concerns are called “Somatic OCD” and I’ve had it as well. Your heart concern might be cardiophobia. Sometimes knowing what it is helps a lot. 🙏

Had this for most of my life, I remember it from such an early age. It is debilitating. People don't understand how awful it becomes.

I recently lost my mum to cancer. Hearing this makes me feel so seen and heard, I feel so relieved and kinda emotional, I'm not gonna lie. For me, I think about how my mum must have felt when she heard she got diagnosed (she was terrified of dying). If I get in that loop, I feel panicked, so I just take a deep breath. I'm slowly getting better, but it is one heck of a battle and it's exhausting at times.

Has anyone heard of the anxiety guy? I highly recommend watching him or listening to his podcasts. I've come a long way since I found him on here.

I got it after seeing my grandma pass away infront of my eyes because of cardiac arrest. I thought I've overcome it but I'm just lying to myself. I still struggle with it.

At any moment, a person can develop idiopathic epilepsy, panic attack, cancer, and I'm sick of believing in these things.
