Jake has no limits to his shape shifting. Amethyst can't shrink smaller than her gem and growing too big puts a strain on her causing her to revert back to her default form. Also Jake has proven to be a solo powerhouse, where as Amethyst's true potential lies in her fused forms. Since this is one on one I don't think she has any real advantages over Jake.

@@emerald_a_op4400 I've watched all of SU but only some of AT and even I know that in this fight Jake wins. He's far more durable as the only things I've seen affect him are magic and poison (though that second depends on how he deals with it) but it can be assumed he isn't fireproof as he still needs Flame Shield when entering the Flame Kingdom, either way his physical durability is way better than Amethysts because even though she has better longevity (gems can live for thousands of years) her body can become worn out from physical stress, causing her to "poof" back into her gem to regenerate.

Concerning Heihachi vs. Geese I love that the DB scenario is Heihachi fighting Geese in a special exhibition match with the prize at stake being complete ownership of both the Mishima Zaibatsu, and The Howard Conglomerate. Also Geese saying his trademark taunt of "PREDICTABO!" during the fight was something this episode needed.

Reasons why jake wins: 1. Jake fought Creatures and people with gem weak spots before 2. Jake shrunk down small enough to hang off fins finger print 3. Jake has full control over his entire body he can literally move his organs around 4. Prismo 5. Amethyst is literally the weakest gem and cannot be scaled to any of the other gems, just because she had an emotional feat broken doesn’t mean she can beat jasper and be scaled to her she only beat jasper because Steven fused with her 6. Jake is hecka strong and can easily shatter an Amethyst gem 7. Amethyst can’t change her shape and for too much or else she will wear herself down 8. Jake can stretch for as long as he wants, in the chips and ice cream episode jake literally stretched a part of his body(chips and ice cream) far outside his house and slept the rest of the night meaning stretching isn’t that big of a problem for him he can do it in his sleep 9. Jakes reaction time and survivability is much higher 10. Amethyst weak spot being her gem is literally her Achilles heel she literally broke it when she feel on top of a rock imagine if she was fighting jake who has much higher feats of strength breaking through buildings It’s a cool idea but jake takes this fight without a doubt there is just too much going against amethyst

I think Steven Universe is full of many great combatants that are qualified for Death Battle. People tend to dismiss Steven as being a pacifist and holding back, but with the rules of DB on not holding back and killing the opponent, Steven really can hold his own. Heck, Spinel is one who would be a challenge given her cartoon physics powers, speed and durability. On a similar note, I think Star Butterfly from Disney is also a overlooked character that has proven to be really powerful and even surpassing Jake Long the American Dragon.

The Mask vs Spinel

@@megaponeo2342 How could Spinel ever harm, let alone kill, the Mask? The Mask’s main gimmick is to basically say no to getting hurt using an insane amount of toon force. There are very few characters I can think of that might be able to overcome his godlike invulnerability (Popeye, Doctor Manhattan, Saitama, Kirby, and the Warners are the only ones that come to mind right now). Meanwhile, Spinel is certainly very powerful and has a decent amount of toon force of her own, but at the end of the day, she’s still a gem. Any gem can be hurt, no matter how strong or powerful or cartoony. All the Mask would have to do is hit her enough times, make her revert to gem form, and then just crush her gem into pieces.

Preview looks promising enough, and I like how the animation manages to capture Heihachi's super-aggressive fighting style. Watching on mobile so I can't hear the track that well, but you haven't disappointed so far. Their design was appealing to begin with, and everything is cuter as a plushie, so it comes together perfectly.

18:15 The Gems glow all the time when they are used for anything, like, say, pulling whips out of them. Also, Amethyst's Fire spindash hit Jasper and did like, no damage. That whole arc was about, "You don't have to be as strong and as perfect as she is, you are fine just the way you are." At no point does she really get stronger, heck by the time of the movie she admits to being rusty and weaker. And in Future, there is no fighting really. Also the fantasy sequence is just a parody of DBZ. It's about as canon to Jasper's level as the Uncle Grandpa crossover is to the plot of Steven universe. Also Jake and Finn had an entire episode where they went through the trials to gain magic powers.

Amethyst dying through her Gem being destroyed is more relevant than it seems. In the season 1 episode Tree Trunks, a.k.a. the one where Tree Trunks explodes at the end after biting the Crystal Apple (she gets better) Finn mentions not being able to defeat a monster (a Brain Beast) until it reveals "it's crystal gem weakspot". In other words, Jake could be aware that Amethyst's gem could be a weakpoint and focus on destroying it because he's seen at least one monster with the same weakness.

Well they both have limits to their shapeshifting, but Jake’s limits are so so so SO far out there compared to Amethyst it wouldn’t even be a factor to consider in a fight between the two I will concede that Amethyst’s shapeshifting has some advantages over Jake’s like being able to turn into functioning weapons and vehicles such as canons and helicopters. Which Jake could replicate the look of, but no way in hell is he making himself fly. (doesn’t matter anyways his Blue Alien form gives him wings for flight, but it’s not like an aerial advantage is much of an advantage over Jake to begin with) the most Jake could do to compare to that is stretching himself into a catapult, glider, and make his body sharp enough to puncture through someone with it. In the end Jake has this and then some. His only potential weakness in this fight would be his own laziness and go with the flow nature that can sometimes backfire, but then even then this is a high stakes fight and Jake is no slouch when it comes to that

Also if Ben 10 vs Green Lantern ended with a tie, I’d imagine it going down like this. Ben as Alien X shows off all his feats to both Hal and his bosses. Hal realizing that maybe it’s not a good idea to attack a fellow hero who gave him such a hard time. He decides to go back in time and stop the fight from happening.... by killing one of Ben’s foes. He sends Vilgax flying into past Hal before he crushes Ben’s arch enemy with a boot, he quips with “Eww... I stepped in loser” and thanks Ben for the quip before fading from existence leaving a confused Ben and Hal

sorry for the exhaustingly long comment but I believe that jake could easily increase his intelligence thanks to his stretching abilities. A lot of the stretching you see with jake could be explained as his particles being stretched out over a greater area but it is actually shown that he generates more mass thanks to the evidence shown in the Me-Meow episode when jake increased the size of his liver 50 times and it mirrored the efficiency of a liver 50 times as large. Jake was also able to increase his strength to such a degree that he effortlessly lifted up the Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant when he was unable to do such feats of strength at his normal size. So if jake increased the size of his brain and skull then he would easily figure out Amethyst’s weakness and dispatch her using his insane strength. Plus if amethyst tried to burn jake then he would quickly develop flesh to tank the damage and if she tried any other forms of attack he is basically immune to crushing types of damage thanks to his mastery of his stretching abilities. He is also highly resistant to heat when he got struck by lightning and his head was on fire without sustaining any damage. He was also able to survive the Lich’s flames when they targeted his face. There was also that non-canon attack that jake used in the comics when he was theorized to be able to stretch over a planet and punch anyone on it, but you can discount that one if you like.

Jake is susceptible to disease, poison and fire, and he does require food and water, he was left withering away on his dad's fake world for weeks. Also he can be cut and impaled if he isn't able to change his shape in time. What's more, I think his low pain tolerance should be considered. Best example to be considered should be his fight with Finn, as it took relatively little damage to throw Jake off his game. Meanwhile Amethyst has fire and cutting at her disposal due to her whip, and while Jake can deal enough damage to poof her, Amethyst does have hundreds of years of combat experience under her belt and does have an extensive history of fighting monsters larger than herself who have also featured unique abilities.

Amethyst can shape-shifting as well as if not better than Jake. She can turn into a helicopter and fly as it! Just like Jake can turn into a car and drive around as it. Her body is actually made of light and basically a hologram with substance and I remember a few episodes where Jake had a really hard time fighting with an empty stomach and she won't have that problem because while she loves to eat she doesn't need it. Also you mentioned that Jake was a criminal for a while and fights in unconventional ways but Amathyst does kinda the same thing because while she was literally created to be a warrior she didn't have pretty much any of the training that other Amathyst soldiers had because she was trained by the rebels known as the Crystal Gems where she learned things from Rose Quartz, Garnet and even Pearl but she never really had to use these skills because by the time she popped out of her rock, the war was over and she only needed to use her fighting to "poof" corrupted gems and that helped her create a fighting style all her own that other gems hadn't seen before.

Gems when severely damaged reform into their gem to heal which can take weeks where the only time Jake has been shown to be defeated or near death is over stretching (has the ability to form a small planet with modern city society) or poison some OP method of attack where enough force can break a gem jake fights a variety of creatures in all forms yes with help and by himself but the gems really only fight gems and gem monster and social issues😉💎⚔️
