Nah, Steve doesn’t carry. Mega Man’s just really good against him. Forward air goes through blocks, crash bomb + f-smash goes through minecart, and he can edge guard Steve and keep him in the air and off stage well.

i know its been 10 months, and you've probably figured it out by now, but you can pick metal blade up while in runstate (not initial dash) to cancel leaf shield (using the z button). You can also cancel it by tossing it straight up (still with the z button) while in runstate.
