PC NA here, played since beta, easily qualify as endgame in all aspects. Currently have 1billion + wealth and float 400 million gold. Have lead 3 significant guilds. Just here to give props, I was skeptical of the your video at first but your grasp of the ebb and flow of the economy and player hase is spot on, great job!.Earned a sub from me!

I think people also forget that the prices of used disc versions of ESO drop to single digit dollars. I just verified with a local game store and they sell the base Tamriel Unlimited PS4 and XB1 discs for $3. The barrier to entry for this game, especially on console, is almost non-existent.

Console players now have Throne and Liberty and new world, both crossplay too, which is great as ZOS now has competition in the console space.

⁠iv ben playing eso for 10 years its not a mmo i wont touch tab targeting games, this is a open world rpg game, its more of gta 5 but with swords and magic

Being able to play the same account either on PC or consoles would be nice. It's been doing Warframe a lot of good. Especially when it's much easier to travel with a Series S or Laptop.

I’m surprised the change to 14 day sales has not reduced prices on PC. Have seen a significant drop on items on PlayStation NA as a returned item is an unsold item. So people are reducing prices to guarantee the sales.

PC doesn't need more than 14 days to sell items. Add-ons make everything available instantly. Consoles do not have add-ons. Players must visit each trader location to shop, unless they belong to that particular guild and can access them from a bank. Cutting the listing times in half is really hurting console traders, especially those who list more high-end or niche items that might take longer to sell.

Crowns on PS NA range from 100-200 per seller. My current crown seller has been selling to guildies at 90:1.

I dont care how much or little players there is :D I am a solo player, always has been, always will in Eso. I quit last month and will be back, when I feel like it. Like I and I am sure other ppl has done before ^^. The best part of eso that its free! No bloody monthly sub. Not like wow that has a store and a sub :D haha Has to pump Pillars of eternity 1 & 2 before Avowed comes out.

PC-NA and PC-EU are pretty different too (I play on both) when it comes to the cost of things. I've got ESO on my SteamDeck and my PC, so I can take it with me on vacations xD PC-NA is about 1500:1. PC-EU seems higher. I'm surprised about the crown-gold ratio on console, and the fact that Playstation population is higher! Console players who come to PC come from console which has a lot of lag, requires controllers, doesn't have addons. This leads to them tending to be more skilled than those of us who have always been on PC, they're so used to those addons. I used to play on X-Box One ESO. I started with a sword and board dragon knight, and that was before OneTamriel. It was quite an experience. April 2020 makes sense - Covid. Same with the holidays; it gets cold outside.

I sell a lot of intricates on the guild traders! I'm in a Mournhold, Rawl'kah, Wayrest, and Vvardenfell guild. I usually sell it on the Vvardenfell one because of the location. Helps new players, and all my PC-NA chars are maxxed crafting! Sell Alchemy and Enchanting master writs when people are leveling. Good money!

PC EU here, current gold:crown is about 2500. The biggest costs for a guild bar none are the guild traders costing millions per week. Never logged in using steam, was in closed beta back at the end of 2013 so I've always used the launcher that comes with the game. We have a lot of people in Skyrim Red Shirts who have moved over from console and also a lot of folks who are returning to the game, quite a lot from WOW and other MMOs that seem to be dying, like STO. I don't know many who used steam, but it indicates login numbers, a bit like a poll indicates voting intentions. Interesting video Jake.

Player population seems to vary depending on what event is going on. I had some serious lag issues doing mirrormoor incursions.

Half the threads on the forums are about performance issues on PC (lag, skills not firing, DC'ing, rubberbanding, etc.) that have been going on for almost 6 months now without any comment from the devs. You can see from the Steam chart that player counts started trending down when v9.3.9 went in early May. I don't do it, but PVP complaints are at all time highs. Player counts are now at 2018 levels, and I don't see anything on the horizon that would bring players back. It's not looking great for the game right now. Despite being a hefty spender, historically, I haven't spent a dime in the Crown store for months, and won't unless they fix the problems.

Australia player here. I’m curious about the numbers on console PlayStation NA as Tue to Fri it’s dead. Literally I can be in an area with no one. It’s very evident the highest numbers are Sat - Mon. My biggest sale time is Mon. Events see a spike but primarily on the weekend.

One of the reasons I consider most relevant to the market value of gold on PC is the existence of addons that simplify gold farming for PC players. I mean, want to do a daily Writ? Simple, install an addon that will streamline the entire process from something that used to take a few minutes to something that now takes just a few seconds. Just from daily Writs, you can make what? 50k a day just as mission rewards (not counting the materials you'll drop, which is the truly valuable part). And that's without mentioning the addons that mark material gathering spots, organize inventory, and countless other things that simplify the whole "gold-making" journey. That's why gold on PC is worth less than gold on consoles: it's easier to farm, thanks to external tools.

PS-NA crowns vary from 100-250. I know a few sellers who are dedicated to staying at 100, zone chat gets up to 250 when there's a hot crown item but they haven't been on sale for a few months.

I used to play on PC too. For a couple of years, actually. My computer decided to stop working so I switched to Xbox in 2022 to get that ESO fix and I ended up completely converting 🤣🤣 To be honest, I prefer it. It's a more even playing field since nobody has add ons. If you don't have add ons on PC, you're at a huge disadvantage. That can be overwhelming for new players. Don't have to worry about that on Xbox. I really love how much more fair it is. In my experience, PC players were more elitist, probably because they don't get the constant inflow of new players. People on Xbox are really nice in comparison. I'm not @ing every PC player by the way. There are plenty of amazing players in there, I just didn't find them as much unfortunately 😅 Love your videos, Jake! 💜

Yep are lot have left my Online PlayStation Friend left his Guild. That i’m in weeks ago he was the leader he’s now playing T&L he left the guild to i guess one of the other members i haven’t seen any of them online as well for awhile they might come back near Witches Festival or New Life. 👍🏾

whats crazy is the eso economy on pc has crashed over the last year too. prices still may be higher than console but not what they used to be. drough wax now is like 13-14k but this time last year was like 50-60k per one....

Balances changes lately seem to be made by random draws from a hat … that’s why I stopped playing, had 10k+ hours and mid 2k cp, felt good walking. A game shouldn’t make you angry when you play it. Update 44 doesn’t interest me, seems more messed up, maybe update 45 will spark my interest.

Why is the economy on PC inflated compared to console? Mods. Specifically, crafting mods. It makes doing writs across 10-20 toons trivial in comparison to console. Plus, I know MANY people with multiple ACCOUNTS having multiple toons. This isn't practical on console (without going mad). Inflation happens in MMO's for the same reason it happens in the real world: printing money. And PC players can "print money" with crafting compared to console.

Euro playstation seems fine? never long waits for BGs, Dungeons, depending on time of day. Seems to be more Peeps in Imperial City than a year ago. 🤔. Guilds I'm in very busy on chat etc
