Updates on the T5! Forgot to mention it in the video but my mom still has absolutely no regrets switching to an automatic after owning nothing but manuals.

Love that Volvo. It sure makes me feel stupid for paying 6,000 dollars for a 2006 Honda Accord LX a couple of years ago when I needed a different car when I could have had one of these.

Hows the reliability and maintenance on these things? They're surprisingly cheap in my area and are making me suspicious...

I didn't see it in the video, but if you click the "my car" button on your dash, it will take you to an options page for dynamic sport mode (you will see the dsm yellow light appear in the dash), the car drives normally in drive, but when you shift it over to sport it's a total different ballgame then just putting the stick in sport. Also love this car, I have the exact same one but in blue ❤️

That T5 even sounds amazing with just light driving.

I'm 16 and I got one of these, I really like it but what he said about the oil consumption is worrying, I think mine was made in 2011 and I have 71k miles soooo... We'll see how it goes I guess

6 months and 6,751 miles later it's going strong! I have been checking the dipstick and it isn't burning oil :)

how's it now?
@hampoonАй бұрын
@@doyallsellcrablegs It does burn a little. On 97k now and I’d say it burns 1.5 qt between 5000 mile oil changes. Hope it doesn’t get worse but I’m okay with adding a bit from time to time. No problems otherwise

What a great car and the engine noise is so nice. Love those 5 cilinder Volvo engines. Didn't know that these engines have oil consumption problems. Can you tell me which modelyears are concerned? Unfortunately this generation in Europe never came with these 5 cilinder engines. The T5 model in Europe has the 2 liter turbo Ford Ecoboost engine under the bonnet. Keep on making these great Volvo videos! Love them!

@@Jakeman21642 I'm kinda the opposite, I had a 99 sl2, I loved that car it got almost 35 miles to the gallon in the summer! The one I had wasn't a homecoming edition but it did have similar features such as leather seats, power windows and a sunroof which just made it so much better since I only buy cheap basic beaters. I was just curious to see if you missed and liked your as much as I liked mine

I don't wanna brag but I'm buying a 2012 S60 T5 tomorrow for 4.5k! Cars are cheaper down South tho, back on the West Coast it would probably be like 9k or 10k. I use to own a 2004 S60 and I miss it dearly lol but replacing it with this will definitely be an upgrade especially since I'm driving a Ford Taurus right now XD
@SIIKAP13 жыл бұрын
wtf. 4.5k? was it broken? I look at the market on these and they’re much more expensive now
@SobridMusic3 жыл бұрын
@@SIIKAP1 Ha, funny story! I went there to buy the car and the dealer actually lent the car to his daughter and asked that I buy something else!! So I ended up buying something similar from somewhere else instead. I bought a 2011 S60 T6 AWD for 7k cash out the door! And yeah, the used car market is absolute bonkers right now. I spent more than I wanted to BUT I'm definitely glad I got the T6 instead of the T5 and having AWD is freakin' awesome.
@SIIKAP13 жыл бұрын
@@SobridMusic damn even that is an amazing deal. I can’t fathom the prices today. Idk what to do because everything is way too much, and f that! The T6 is awesome though. I’m jealous

@@SIIKAP1 I was looking around a 4 state area for like 2 months lol but I absolutely had my heart set on a 2011-2014 S60. I actually ended up traveling to Dallas to buy it. Thank you tho, it's easily my nicest car ever and I fucking love it. Even when I see it in my driveway I'm just like damn lol but full disclosure, the only thing wrong with it was no A/C at the time, but I found a compressor at a scrap yard and switched mine out. Only costed like $250 but definitely worth it! If you're in the market I wish you luck!
@SIIKAP13 жыл бұрын
@@SobridMusic it’s definitely a looker! Definitely tempted. Flip flopping between a few cars/SUVs. The only thing i’m hesitant about with the S60 is the more expensive parts and possible oil consumption issue. But man it’s hard to resist the car still. Thanks though, let’s hope these prices come back to sanity. Hope yours treats you well
