Plants vs. Zombies introduced Mushrooms to the series in the FIRST GAME, and since then they have only gotten crazier and crazier. I really wanna see every Mushroom to EVER exist in the franchise, and while we’re at it, let’s rank them too!
We all know Puff-shroom, Fume-shroom, Sun-shroom, Doom-shroom, Night Cap, and the rest of the classics, but how have they evolved through the years?
This is one of the biggest tier lists I’ve made! I truly had no idea just HOW many mushrooms there were, especially in the Chinese versions. I really hope to surprise all of you with some of these characters.
I currently don’t have a way to play the Chinese versions so I used a ton of footage from random KZbin videos including @flagzombie

scaredy-shroom defender here. Shrooms that attaсks with plant fooded shroom become stronger with every scaredy-shroom near plant fooded. That complicated, but this means if you surround one scaredy-shroom and give him 1 plant food, then 3 shrooms above of below him would kill 3rd tier cardio zombie. On first level. From 1 plant food and 225 suns. The whole general. If this don't sounds strong, then I don't know what strong

btw magnet-shroom in pvz2 super dummy. In pvz 1 he makes 2nd(3rd if you count giga gargantua) strongest zombie very weak, solves ladder problem and as much as possible helps with buckets, doors and miners. In pvz 2 he magnets buckets, metal plates, helmets, and punks heads. THATS ALL. In 2nd part lot of metal objects and almost every way more durable and skilled than these 4, but no devs run out creative.

Regarding Spore Shroom. They are a godsend in levels that prevent you from spending a certain amount of sun as they'll be able to boslter your offenses for basically free. Especially in some levels where the limit is very low for sun

I personally like the sea shroom personally because I just like things that are aquatic. But I agree that sea shroom isn’t as good as puff shroom due to its slow recharge, honestly if only sea shroom has the same recharge rate as puff shroom, both puff shroom and sea shroom would both be goats

Shadow Shroom is like my favorite mushroom in pvz 2 tbh tho I definitely get why its ranked low. It doesn't work as a shadow plant at all, tho its one of the best early game instants in pvz 2, being relatively fast recharge and kills any basic. And its cute :3. I wish it wasn't built around being a shadow plant.
