How do you not mess up on which strings you’re picking? I normally play bass but when I have time to play guitar I have the hardest time playing the right string, do you have any tips with playing the right strings?

Anchor your pinky on the bottom of the bridge pickup and it will give you more control. There are other anchoring points too but depends on your bridge too. Universally that should work with any guitar though.
