I purposely picked this song to create a core memory the first time I ever met Emma Winter (the woman I’m eventually going to marry, she’s my girlfriend now). We went to Denny’s and then sat in her car, she’d just gotten off work at Benihana’s and she was tired, falling asleep. As her eyes were closed, I picked this song knowing it would immortalize this moment in this song, I watched this angel sleep as I played with her hair. Thinking there’s no way she’s real. So, after four years, I came across this song again and I'm still totally addicted to it. I have the sweetest hubby who's always there for me, and every time I listen to this track, I can't help but think of him. When I first heard the song I instantly loved it as I also thought it sounded so awfully familiar. I was so sure there’s an old, old song in a cassette tape I’d always listened to as a kid that sounds like this one. Jose naranjo, you're right about the timing. There was this guy whom I saw in my first year of college, the first day. While he was exiting class....i was looking at him though he was looking at someone else. I don't know why, i was just drawn to him. But we never spoke until a friend introduced me to him. That day the three of us went on a walk. I started talking to him slowly from the end of first year, when I liked someone else. He liked and texted other girls, i liked other guys, but we always kept in touch. We would hang out on good days and bad, i would share my emotions with him and he would listen patiently. There was friendly flirting but never love. Or so i didn't understand. And slowly we started growing closer...we started going on walks everyday, in the mornings and evenings. He was infatuated with a girl, i was infatuated with another guy, but when we would hang out together, we would forget about everyone. Until his dad passed away and he stopped talking to me...i guess he needed me to talk to him but i couldn't understand why he didn't pick up my calls. He slowly drifted apart from me, and i thought he didn't need me. We stayed at bay for another year, in this time he got over the girl he loved and i got heartbroken over the guy i was infatuated with. But in the end, when I literally had no one, i was suffering from depression and loneliness, he came back, we started talkin again,, and we both realised that what we had was special, eternal. He confessed to me and i did to him, and today we are in a relationship for the past 3 years. Nothing happens before its time.💫💞
