EDIT: 11/10/2018: It appears that Gia has taken down her LinkedIn profile, but I will leave the link if it ever comes back.
EDIT: 11/12/2018: I found her new LinkedIn, it is now the second link.
EDIT: 1/17/2019: I actually forgot to mention that when I spoke to Gia about taking classes, she claimed to own a prestigious dance studio school in Boston that is as tall as one of the skyscrapers, that it costs $20,000 a semester and that she could have recommended that I go there for lessons, but she 'didn't want my money.' I also checked for this dance studio, but I was unable to find it.
EDIT: 1/18/2019: So many of you have reached out to me on social media about Gia and your experiences with her. It really warms my heart to know this video is helping so many of you and made the 12 hours I slaved away at this video worth it.
EDIT: 2/24/2019: It appears her accomplice's name is Chris. I will try to find more about him as well.

My son went IMTA 2007. You have the money to go, you can go. Very few gained from it. You don't need IMTA to have a chance. Yes, my son did well. Gained a manager and agent. Went to LA. There were opportunities. But.......they initially wanted him. Then to change him to their desires. To attempt to sexually abuse him. Thank God I was with him!!

i auditioned 4 years ago when i was 11 i am now 15...this makes so much more sense, this is exactly what was said back then, all the numbers are the same, and all the rules are the same, nothing changed, this amazes me. gia was ruthless ngl. thankfully my parents got sussed out about this company.

Major red flag if you go to an agency and the "casting director" texts you from their personal number. If it's not SAG or AFTRA and they talk money at all, run for the hills.

(@16:56) If anyone starts off the conversation saying "honestly" you can be sure they are lying. This "model" tries so hard to convince you that IMTA is not a scam reminds me of William Shakespeare's play Hamlet. In the play, the line "the lady doth protest too much, methinks" is a sure fire indication that she is lying.

I have a recently widowed acquaintance spending big bucks on this. He is sweet, but not especially talented. It makes me rage these people are gladly taking his SS money. He really believes this is doing something for him. He is so happy just going to conventions, I hate to burst his bubble. These people are evil.

@@scrippsalex Hey Penelope, and everyone, really. I also took classes years ago at a modeling school, John Casablancas. I think the lesson to take from this video is, this major convention and these modeling schools will take your money happily, but they cannot guarantee you an agent/manager or any real work. You'll see like .01% of people who do these things ever get anything tangible out of them. As for me, upon graduation from JC, I was "signed" to their agency (which has a different name I no longer remember). I spent several months calling a hotline about auditions, and there never were any. After I inquired why, the woman who ran the agency told me to come in for a meeting. At the meeting, she proceeded to tear down my appearance and tell me everything I was doing wrong. This kind of treatment is bullshit, and apparently typical of people at these organizations. I have been represented by real talent agencies for the last 7 years, and never once do they ask for money, nor do they make me feel bad about myself. They are my champions, they are my business partners, and they only make money (commissions, which is how agents work) when I make money. Run from these conventions and schools as fast as you can.

IMTA is not a scam. If you don’t stand out and have potential you don’t get call backs. People expect for success to happen over night. Well it’s not. Even if you are good you still might not picked. The talent industry is harsh and if you can’t deal with rejection then you might wanna rethink this. Even supermodels got rejected. They had to work for years to get were they were.

Mr. JACOB BAHOU, freedom of speech is a beautiful thing but THEFT is not.
