What a beauty! Great shooting too! I was fortunate to draw my Idaho California big horn tag this last fall and was lucky to harvest a hog also. No better feeling than to put your hands on a nice ram that you hunted hard for. I solo scouted 10 days and got the ram on the 17th day with my wife beside me. So stoked to get a nice one. Congratulations on your ram and thanks for sharing your hunt!

All my sheep hunting has been in northern British Columbia, my back yard. Looking back, I tend to reflect on the many good memories. But the whole picture involves many, many miles of slogging up and down mountains, wondering if you'll have the energy to make it back to camp. And then the hours spent glassing, while eating a few cans of sardines which for reasons I never figured out, seem to be the official snack of BC sheep hunting. But one crack of my .270 and it was always worth the effort.

I have a once in a lifetime California big horn sheep tag in Utah, (the BLM transplanted them) the unit is in my back yard. 15 minute drive and a 40 minute hike from my parents house. Hopefully I can find the oldest one up there that my dads buddy has located.
