Maredumilli in Alluri Sitaramaraju district of Andhra Pradesh is a natural delight. It has verdant hills, lush forest and scenic spots. It abounds in water cascades. One such example is the Jalatarangini. It is located about 7 kms from Maredumilli on the Bhadrachalam route. The entry fee is Rs.50 for adults. But make sure to visit the cascade during monsoon and winter season as the water can get depleted by summer and it may not be seen cascading down the slopes. There are no eateries or kiosks what so ever inside the premises. In a way, it is a good idea. Otherwise the forest can be turned into a dustbin by our fellow citizens. One has to walk a fair distance to reach the cascade. But when water is in full flow, it is a sight to behold. When you are in Mardumilli, don't miss this attraction.
