New Heights

Күн бұрын

On the eleventh episode of New Heights, we have our first in-person sit-down interview with the #1 quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Hurts. Jalen is currently having an MVP-caliber season so it’s really exciting to be able to share this conversation with everyone.
In this episode, Jason and Travis get an answer to maybe the most important New Heights question, what’s Jalen calling on 4th & 1. We also touch on his first impressions of being under center behind Jason Kelce, the backstory to the squat video everyone can’t stop talking about, why he hopes Jason keeps playing for at least a few more years, and his surprising reaction to hearing his name called by the Eagles on Draft Night.
The guys also chop it up about the philosophy of playing quarterback, figure out Jalen’s QB Mt. Rushmore, dive into Jalen’s special relationship with the Manning family, find out how he really feels about the MVP conversation, and debate the right way for NFL players to watch football games.
We also have some incredible stories of Jalen’s time at Alabama and how that prepared him for playing in front of Philly fans, his plans to teach Jason the griddy, and our first-ever guest New Heights Stamp of the Week.
Watch and listen to new episodes of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce every Wednesday during the NFL season & check us out on Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok for all the best moments from the show.

That was honestly the worst part for us, seeing him all but dominate (save for that one fuckin stupid ass mistake, hell I don’t even want to call it a mistake that fumble was so weird!, seeing him all but dominate only to have the defense just evaporate (ridiculous sack numbers and not a single one all game 🤦 even if the field was more of a factor since we relied more on edge rushers there’s no excuse, sorry getting sidetracked), seeing that felt like we as fans had failed, we didn’t want a ring as much as we felt Jalen deserved one… And if you want to really have your heart broken, after scoring one of the touchdowns Jalen is back on the bench and he literally says “Come on now. Give me one back. Give me a pick 6”… Asking for help that would never come… 😞

I am a born and raised cowboys fan! But I cannot hate the eagles 🦅 because I have so much respect for the city and how they support “their” QBs. #12, 5, 7 and now Jalen. No other city can boast that and that speaks to that city.

I'm retired and my son got me into watching football. Now I'm obsessed with football and I am enjoying and learning so much about the game. I watch FB podcast and team clips on KZbin all the time. I'm an Eagles fan, but the Chiefs are second in my football heart, so I'm loving this get together by my two favorite teams. That said, I've seen some complaints about the QB Sneak, and I'm feeling like folks are complaining because Jalen is excellent at it, 92%. What I think folks seem to not know or perhaps forget is that even though Jalen gets a push from his teammates, Jalen is super strong, and he literally pushes himself through the D-Line. Just check out his weightlifting skills. BTW, Jason did the griddy with Jalen and it was great!!!
