Not sure how lying is being a class act. He just said in an interview that no coach talked to him after the game and still no one has talked to him about the QB situation, YET he just said a couple of weeks ago he and SABAN talked and he reassured Saban he was committed to Bama. So which is it? Did Saban talk to you or not? Seems like he knows he may not start, so he and his mom are going to start some drama over it with their recent comments. I've been a fan of Jalen since day 1 and defended him numerous times on social media but it's obvious he can't read a defense or go through his WR progressions. If his primary receiver is covered, he takes off without checking down. That's not a QB, that's a RB playing QB.
@saigaboybeast22496 жыл бұрын
Tua won Bama one game, Hurts took the team to the championships. At the end of the day, these two players helped each other out to win the games because it's not one person game, it's a team sport. Media and people are causing rumors to the point where these great players are gonna hate each other and try putting one down rather than working together

@@bige9295 So when Coach Saban put Jalen in after Blake Barnett started in 2016 USC game, was that bc "these white universities" wanted to 'throw away" this young white guy? Or was Jalen the better QB at that time? College Athletic Scholarships are awarded to the best athletes, then each athlete competes for positions/playing time...it is about competition, not the color of anyone's skin. I am a huge Jalen Hurts fan and I do hate how things have turned out for him, but Tua is the better QB at this time, that cannot be denied. Are you even watching the games or just hung up on the "these guys" color of skin and "these white universities"?? "These white universities" provide players the best chance they have to be millionaires by their early 20's by playing in The NFL! And, "these white universities" pay for their education, room and board while they are in school. Additionally, "these white universities" provide an entire staff of people - from tutors and trainers to nutrionists and strength coaches - whose sole job is to develop these young men both on and off the field. I wish I'd been one of those guys at "these white universities" so I wouldn't still be in debt from student loans and other cost from attending college. Btw, Tua is Samoan at one of "these white universities"

Been for many years. But 30 minutes is not enough time for me to be jumping out my seat for. He still need to show us if he's the truth or a bust. Jalen dont have to prove himself. I said Jalen was a trash QB back when he first got the job. The reason why he never lost it was because he only had like 2 loses since he been there. He get the job done with his feet. @joshrubin92866 жыл бұрын
His dad opened his mouth. The media didn't make that up. His dad caused the problem for him. His dad gave Saban the idea that Jalen may transfer if he doesn't start. Jalen's dad caused this. Now his mom is running her mouth too.
@jeremyx37586 жыл бұрын
Josh Rubin A good coach always go to the horses mouth Jalen said NO coach approached him or even seem too attempt to ask/inquire of any of the hearsay You can't fault Hurt's parents for the coaching staff taking something & running with it BOTTOMLINE Something as critical as losing a Jalen Hurts is worthy of getting to the bottom of that type of rumor regardless of the source And really, because it came from home warrants intervening all the more You simply cannot remove that responsibility from Saban nor his staff Now this also doesn't remove the fact that "IF" his folks did in fact speak these things, then they share the blame They SHARE it not own it & just as Jalen says the media put words in his mouth they probably added a spin to his parents words Again, that's even IF they said these alleged statements, & in full without editing etc
@joshrubin92866 жыл бұрын
I disagree Jeremy although I appreciate you not attacking me and instead providing your view and a reasonable dialogue. Jalen's dad did cause a problem because Saban was believing Jalen would stay until his dad said he might not stay. What is Saban supposed to do about that? How many times have players just picked up and left the program? Think back to other players who have left and the rules that have changed surrounding players leaving. Saban wants to believe Jalen will stay but there is no reason he should based on how players keep leaving and based on the doubts that Jalen's father put out there. Saban told Jalen to do his talking on the field. There is no reason for any other discussions. Jalen is either going to show he wants to stay and show his committment and work hard to get the job and do his talking on the field or Jalen is going to leave like other players have left. Saban knows all of this. This isn't a nursery. The coaches don't need to ask Jalen about his feelings. Jalen is just feeling sorry for himself because he is losing confidence in his ability to do his talking on the field. Saban and the coaches do not need to babysit player's feelings.
@jeremyx37586 жыл бұрын
Josh Rubin The team & coaches responded to outside sources If they needed not have to speak with Jalen Then they needed not accepted any rumor Case & point By acting & reacting to rumor w/out consulting directly with the alleged source, they failed to control the hype Jalen never intends to leave & will only hurt his stick if he does But the coaching staff is responsible for acting on his father instead of his QB You can't accept one act without the other That's saying coaches can respond to rumor & not be concerned with truth or confirmation?
@joshrubin92866 жыл бұрын
It isn't a rumor. His dad said it to the media for all to hear. Saban and the coaches did not react to it. They understand he could leave or stay. That's not a reaction. That's not a response. They told Jalen already to do his talking on the field. That is their process all along and it didn't result from any of the public chatter. You seem to expect me to believe that Jalen's dad talking to the media is meaningless. You seem to want me to believe that the team didn't hear what his dad said. That it didn't create more chatter about this. That is just false. His dad speaking to the media is heard by all and it means quite a lot what his parents are saying. Jalen can't ignore it and you can't ignore it either and pass it off as a rumor. BS. We all heard what he said. The coaches are right and Jalen is a good kid but he's coming off as whining about it. He had complete control over the situation. All Jalen had to do was silence his critics on the field. He couldn't do it. He isn't talented enough to do it. That's not the coaches' faults either. Cut the BS. Jalen needs to shut up about his feelings and silence his critics on the field or sit on the bench.

Who wants to settle for less when you don't have to? Jalen wants to start as badly as all other players He's simply showing class & reserve True champion caliber athlete who controls only what's within his realm As long as Jalen & Tua both keep this all in perspective, they will benefit the team If Tua does win the starter role, but begins to struggle marginally, we all know what Nick Saban's gonna do The National Championship it now the strongest indicator Tua won't be exempt either PLUS I feel it was more of Saban's gut telling him "Georgia's not prepared for Tua", moreso than Jalen less-thwn play How many times have Jalen struggled the first half in the biggest games only to rebound fantastically & prevail?

Jalen Hurts led bama to 2 CFP national championship games and now he’s on mop up duty. At one time his draft status was pretty high. How much has his draft status declined since he’s going to more than likely be 2nd string until he graduates, or will he even be drafted? And do you think it would have helped his future going to the NFL if he would have transferred out of AL and went somewhere else? Just curious on anyone else’s opinion on this.

Love Jalen, but to be fair his dad said some things too. I love the way he’s standing up for himself. Saban ultimately will make the decision and he said “don’t do anything to draw attention to yourself or teammates”. That’s exactly what Jalen just did.

Jeremy dad want him out if he's not starting this year let's see in a few weeks how that will fold very interesting situation and good luck sitting the legendary Tua Tagovailoa if hes not starting this fan base will go nuts and Saban is very aware of that can't wait for the season to start

I've always admired the poise and friendliness Jalen Hurts has shown while at Alabama. I don't know if he'll be the starting QB, people that know and get paid a lot more than I do will make that decision. But what I do know as a life long Bama fan, Jalen Hurts carries himself in a way we can truly be proud of.

Alamaba fans, take note of Jalen's words and how he's been treated by the fan base and coaches. This will be veiwed by future recruits as a DEAL BREAKER. Georgia already beat you with this recruiting class and there will be more to come.

Jalen has not been mistreated! He lost the job on his own terms. Even after losing his job, Saban has given Hurts every opportunity to win the job back! Recruits will be excited to know that Saban will play the best no matter how long you’ve been in the system. And, Bama will win the recruiting battle this year!

Justin Aguilar Don't comment if you don't know what you're talking about he was terrible against Auburn, and last season vs clemson and vs Washington. He's the reason Alabama isn't a 3 time defending champion right now.

Jalen you had your chance to transfer, that's what Saban wanted you to do he didn't won't to make that decision to bench you for Tua.Tua won him a championship in two quarters and you haven't won him one in two years.Saban is about to show you a life lesson about loyalty there is none.

He should transfer if he wants to play. Tua is the better QB for Bama.
@joshsutton66486 жыл бұрын
This battle for the starting role was the best possible thing for Alabama. A team that normally doesn’t rely on the QBs ability have 2 great QBs getting better by competing. What more could you ask for? It’s only unfortunate that one won’t be a starter, when either could start on 98% other teams.
