The thing that stands out to me the most is on the 2nd play interception, how carson had 3 wide open underneath routes where there wasn't a defensive player within 5 yards of any of the 3, and yet Wentz still forced the ball to the only guy that was covered...that pretty much summed up the season😁
@Josh-go5lu3 жыл бұрын
He's got a bad habit of half assing routes when he doesn't think the ball is coming. Then when it does he looks dumb.

It is hard to expect the ball when it rarely does come, and often comes late, or when it shouldn't. Very happy to have him on the Vikes, where the ball will probably go to him when it should, and be catchable when it does.

@@Josh-go5lu Good to see you lol now, because it might not be so much fun for you in week 2. Come to think of it the Lions might upset you this weekend, so statistically the Eagles might nearly be eliminated from the playoffs by week 2. On the bright side, that'll give Eagles fans a lot of time to check out the college QBs eligible for the 2023 draft. Skol.

He had potential to be a very solid #2 reciever. Just needs a QB, a #1 to help with coverage, consistent TE play to open up the Middle of the Field, a running game to keep the defense honest, and decent line play so that he can succeed. A lot of what happened this year was because he had literally none of that
@kbeezyk3 жыл бұрын
He literally needs every single part of the offense to be good before he can even be decent 😂

He basically so ass he needs help from everyone is that is what your saying? Lol cmon philly last year all over the 53 man roster was just not good enough. Jalen hurts was no difference either. Let them earn it and play and enjoying it. We all hate to lose but if you are not seeing maximum effort from the players, it will be the same bs. This is their first year with a new coach and staff.

The biggest thing he needs is 100% controlled by him, attitude. The dude dogged it often last year and was lazy with his routes.

The number of WR screens the Eagles ran these past two seasons was infuriating. Just sickening. All in all though Reagor looked decent. Especially when you see all the horrible throws and a couple uncalled PIs thrown in for good measure. I don't think he ran out of bounds that much.
@phillytnoize3 жыл бұрын
Its insane that they kept going back to the same play that they showed time and time again that they were terrible at executing. Ive always hated the wr screen.

So frustrating watching his targets and seeing the lack of creativity on Pederson's behalf to get the ball in his hands. I think I remember him being used in motion for maybe only 1 or 2 of his targets and one was his only touchdown. Hmmm. I can't wait for Sirianni to let him work in the slot, be used in motion, get the ball in his hands quickly and let him make plays. He just needs some confidence and a qb that isn't the worst in the league.

This would be so aggravating being reagor wentz didn’t help him at all

A lot of people think Jalen Reagor is bad. I mean imagine the amount of pressure you have on yourself when there is 10 seconds left in the game, your team needs to get a touchdown in order to win the game, and the Quarterback throws the ball to you. I don’t blame him for dropping it.
@antrodcampbell53403 жыл бұрын
If you watched this and think reagor doesn't have potential you blind... his game needs improvement but they're were several pi's bad throws that could've been td
@Mrmr2489candy3 жыл бұрын
Reagor was abkut to burn off on brown and wentz threw a jumpball lol. He had giys beat and was either over thrown or under thrown. Hate to see it. If he can get out of his own way (going off what I hear in the news, don’t know for sure so dont take it to heart) he can be very good imo. Prolly not a 1500 yard guy but 800-1000 if everything clicks isn’t impossible for him.

Not as bad as I was expecting tbh, just not a great contested catch guy at all. Put him in the slot vs some smaller DBs might help a bunch.
@CWTS_3 жыл бұрын
Reag has great contested catch ability, especially for someone his size. He tore his shoulder labrum in camp & tore the UCL ligament in his thumb week 2. Hard to play WR with those type of injuries. He has a 42" vert and i believe you will see that on display alot more this year now that he is healthy and has a QB that understands throwing the football with touch. From PFF- Career contested catches among 1st RD WRs: 1. Jalen Reagor - 27 2. Ceedee Lamb - 21 3. Justin Jefferson - 19 4. Jerry Jeudy - 13 5. Henry Ruggs III -12 6. Brandon Aiyuk - 3
@robe25042 жыл бұрын
@@CWTS_ Excellent answer. Also some of the CB play was excellent, it wasn't as if Reagor didn't make the catches. A lot of the throws were in places that gave the CB a chance too. Extremely happy t have him on the Vikes where the scheme should get him open, the QB should be a lot more accurate, he will ned to expect the ball, and CBs1 & 2 will be on JJ & Thielen
@CWTS_2 жыл бұрын
@@robe2504 I believe Reagor will perform much better with the Vikings. Im not gonna make any excuses for him because he was a massive disappointment but Kirk Cousins is a significant upgrade from 2020 Wentz & Jalen Hurts. Like not even close. Kirk is accurate and actually understands how to throw guys open. He will make better use of Jalen's explosiveness. Jalen is a terrible route runner but he does have the speed to get behind defenses and explosive leaping ability. He wont have the pressure of being the #1 or #2 nor will he have angry eagles fans waiting to curse his name at every little mistake. I hope he succeeds with your vikings.
@robe25042 жыл бұрын
@@CWTS_ I agree 100% with your assessment, and there will be few valid excuses if he doesn't breakout late in this season. What, I object to is people suggesting he isn't talented, or can't catch. You only have to watch his college tape to see that he is very quick and makes a lot of great catches. I can understand the Eagles moving on from him, the Vikes new FO just moved on from Mond, and a 5th round WR we like Smith- Marsette - but I think moving on from a 1st or second round pick is a different deal. I think it implies you misjudged the talent level, and definitely see Reagor as a rare talent. I think Eagles fans will end up rueing the Reagor trade more than the pick... Skol!
@CWTS_2 жыл бұрын
@@robe2504 He is talented and can catch. He just isnt the type of receiver to get open at will like a Diggs or Jefferson. He needs a good, accurate QB that can deliver the deep ball and back shoulder passes. Kirk can do that with the best of them. I honestly dont expect my eagles to win vs the vikes week 2. Kirk has owned us and now he has Jefferson, Thielen, Osborn, Reagor & Irv as well as Cook/Mattison and an improved defense. I wouldnt be surprised at all if yall won the North.

Is it just me or did he let a lot of catchable balls just sail pass him without maximum effort? And also, his yac seems a bit passive, opting to run out of bounds instead of churning it out for the big play a bit too much. Idk, I need to see a bit more effort and willingness to win from him and we got a beast.

Absolutely, and he might start at WR4, but I'm expecting him to be WR3 as soon as he catches up on the playbook, and WR1b going into the playoffs.

Infuriating to watch him slow down on that Wentz "overthrow" at the end of the first half week 1. If he doesn't slow down, that ball is on the money and likely a TD. Who knows what happens in that game if they're up 24-7. What's even more infuriating is that it wasn't the only time he slowed down after the break in a route, which led to other missed throws for both Wentz and Hurts. He's gotta clean his game up majorly if he wants to succeed in the league.

Exactly dude. I don't think a lot of Vikes fans realise yet that Kwesi might have scored our future WR1b for a 2024 4th, which basically equates to a 2022 6th. I bet OConnell can hardly sleep imagining how he is going to use Reagor against CB3s, or on go routes to clear out space underneath for JJ, AT, Irv & Cook. I seriously think he automatically makes the Vikes a SB contender. I think he can do everything I was hoping Jameson Williams would do if we had picked him. Skol!
@allfacts19 Жыл бұрын
@Rob E Reagor should be used like Deebo Samuel is used for the 49ers. He's never going to be a great consistent pass catcher. The Vikings should use him for screens, and just get the ball in his hands in open space. In college he didn't have many catches. So he is not a consistently good pass catcher. With a full training camp under his belt this season. Plus the fact he is fighting for a second contract KOC has to use the guy correctly.
