I was 11 at that time in mid of 1988 and newly entered Hyderabad. . Everywhere everyone was just mad for Geetanjali songs. . The ECHO Casette was not even in stock. I got it only after a year in 1989. Till today that Casette is still with me. . Geetanjali in 1988 is when I started worshipping Ilayaraja. . All his Telugu hits between 1988-1991 Geetanjali, Gharshana, Shiva, Vichitra sahodarulu, Indrudu Chandrudu, Bobbili Raja, Michael Madana Kama Raja, Nirnayam, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari songs are all still embedded in me. . It has been 34 years since. I am still loyal to Raja sir in music and loyal to Kamal Hassan, in acting. . In these 34 years, I have not bothered to listen seriously music given by other Tamil and Telugu music directors. They look timepass in front of Raja songs. . My love My Raja sir.☺️☺️☺️

In 1988-89, one would see heavy rush only in 2 places. . 1) Outside Casette shops to get just 1 ECHO Casette of original songs of GEETANJALI movie. . 2) YERRAGADDA.....where people had been forcibly brought by the doctors or their relatives and were standing in long queue to get treated for curing the Geetanjali Bug. . Only during the peak of Corona, I saw that much people lined outside hospital and that immediately reminded of those 1988 Geetanjali days. 😏😏😏
