simply stated and goes right to the heart. Someone could save years by knowing everything he says here. I was so happy you counted out the demo rhythm.

@@Donny_A Is the pentatonic scale you are showing @ 6:06 right? It shows on the B string going from the C# to D# and I thought for A major it goes from C# to E.

@@normanjohnson712 Damn, those Form 1 scales are wrong. You are right. On the B string it should be the 5th fret(E) and not the 4th Fret.

Ooops , was feeling good about this until 5 minutes in when you said add licks in between (I don't have any licks?). *Sort of like "batteries not included"....Insert Scooby Doo sound. Hmm, is there a place were we can get the licks too?
@Donny_A2 ай бұрын
@@Naminorite You can certainly just work on the rhythm with the triads. The licks are all improvised, so unfortunately I don’t have tabs for the licks I did. The idea is to just play something with the scales between the chords. The more you practice scales with 1 bar of phrasing the easier it will be to create your own licks.

@@Donny_A Thank you, I did exactly that... I just worked from triad to triad (w/o licks) fingers crossed at some point I'll have something functional to put in the middle

@@Naminorite It is super helpful to be able to play rhythm with the triads. Adding some lead in between is difficult but you will get there if you put the time in.

Maybe it's just me, but the neck diagrams feel "backwards" It feels like the numbers should be decreasing left to right, so that the dots, and your fingers line up on the video frame. For example @3:45, watching you riff through the notes, the strings are upside-down comparing the diagram to the neck.
@Donny_A2 ай бұрын
@@quiescentus I know what you mean. Typically scale charts have the Low E string on the bottom. Like if you are looking down at the guitar neck, the low E is the first thing you see. I use Guitar Scientist to create these and that is the orientation it comes in. I have wondered if it would be better if it was flipped.

As you're holding the guitar, if you lay it down in your lap, it will show the neck in the same way as the diagrams.
