Sir can you give another video of how to make static electricity detector plz we don't have all the components of previous detector here but we have fds8958A.

I have seen this in some movie when bunch of people try to blow up a town or something by using this and wires as a detonator .They used a windmill as a static electricity generator. I think benjamin franklyn was also in the movie (not the real one ofc). Anyone knows the name of movie?

Just curious what solvent did you use to clean the ink off the aluminum can? The lacquer thinner I used works but takes some time. I wonder if the tape was put farther down inside the jar, if the greater gap between the lid and outside foil would help make a longer spark, or if the plastic jar dielectric is the main limiting factor along with the amount of voltage created by the Van de Graaff generator? Also I thought the Lord Kelvin water dropperwas interesting for the 17 cm length of spark it produced. His design had several bands of metal in the collector dish at the bottom and I was wondering if they help store a charge with more surface area or just control the drops from splashing out of the dish? kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGqbd2pmZbWAaLs
