I think it was the greatest upset ever because all other crazy upsets besides barao tj were fluke finishes (pena serra) or low level fights (rousey holm rousey just wasn’t a good mma artists she was ahead of other dogshit fighters for a while and they caught up w her). I'm an Izzy fan, but I'm happy for Sean man, much like everyone else, I didn't really think Sean could do it, but he proved us all wrong, even if Izzy had an off night or whatever, Sean did exactly what he had to do, constant forward pressure, had Izzy fighting backwards the whole fight, and never over extended, superb defense, I think only Matt Serra vs GSP is a bigger upset than this, really good card overall too, the Tafa and Pedro KOs were NASTY

Sean fought a perfect fight man. He was untouchable like Floyd. Last time I saw a top-tier striker Champion look that lost on the feet was Barao when he fought TJ. Izzy got dropped and was outclassed the rest of the fight. NO REMATCH. He's lost 2 out of 3 last fights, and just got dominated. Next fights to make should be Strickland vs DDP, and Izzy vs winner of Chimaev/Costa.

I think in a rematch Izzy starches Sean and I am a fan of Sean. Sean had the perfect gameplan for an Izzy that was resting on his laurels. If Izzy’s still got it mostly ( and theres not reason to think he doesn’t after ONE bad fight) he continues dominating after getting the belt back imo.
